Hey everyone :D
So, next year I am going into high school. I am kind of nervous but I am also excited. When I get into high school, I want to be that person who does EVERYTHING. For my schedule it is set because I am taking honor classes for the four academic classes, two languages, one course I have to take for my science class(It is part of the package of being in the science honor class), and of course p.e./health. But I also want to be in as many clubs as possible, create new clubs, and be the president of our freshman class. Of course I know I probably won't be able to do everything I want considering after school I have tons of stuff to do where I barely have time to do school work. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how I can get votes for being the president, clubs I could create, and just ideas that I could tell to my principal on how we could improve the school.
Oh, and I don't even know any of the clubs that are in our school so please post any of your ideas, and they don't need to be original. If your high school has these clubs/ the president of your grade used certain advertising techniques that were good, then please put them down below. Thanks in advance :D

Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams, BUT, you will not survive high school with your mind set, I'd try taking off somethings...But I'm in the track team and thats pretty fun, just lots of hard work.

I don't know how your high school works but for my high school... my grade representative just posted some ads of how he will represent us around the school... so did the other candidates (lol). Well I think he got the most votes because his popular and good at school. >.>"

For clubs... It would be helpful to know what they have already but you can always create a club that you like and slowly go from there. Clubs that support some organizations that help poor people/children are really popular at my school. You can also have a club for 'Greening' the school or something. You can organize donations, events ex: wear pink for a day to support women's right, or something like that. But really it is up to you!

I also agree with Hoang:
Just take note that high school will be very busy... and you might not have time to do everything that you plan to! Teachers will leave you homework without really bothering about what amount the other teachers gave you. Tons of projects and tests so just be prepare for it. I am not trying to sound bad but that's really how it is (at least in my HS). I barely have time to do any scanlation work/GFX/other stuff. lol xD

Thanks for your ideas :)
I know I won't be able to do everything,  but I might as well try, right?  XP

Shiki

Yup~ Lets hope everything works out! XD

My friends and I are planing to establish the Anime club next year since it's too late this year... So it's like my goal! ;D

Good Luck! ^^b

Bribe your grade and use underhanded tactics~

Though the only real suggestion is take your time and enjoy your High School years. Do whatever you feel you want to, but don't burn yourselves out. Because when you get into university, then you can remember the wonderful and awesome times you spent in High School. But don't mistake this for partying everyday. The real important thing about High School is developing good work habits. It will save your life many times over in the future ;)...

I'm not sure how your high school is but for me, marks didn't really matter until applying year. That is, the graduation year when you apply for universities. So if you have that type of system, you don't have to murder yourselves over marks too early.

ALSO MOST IMPORTANT. Take you any courses have an interest in and really try to find that subject you really enjoy. High School is a place to explore to find what you want to do for the rest of your life. This is especially important if you want to go to university. Finding out that you want to change faculties (delay your graduation) or regretting what you studied isn't a position you ever want to be in xD...

Emphasize on that and trust her when she says do what you want and don't do them just because you want a taste of them.

Just have fun.
Oh, and don't do anything that will make you look back in a few years and say "I hope I wasn't that stupid".

...
Well, that last advice really applies to everyone who care =]
I hate losing. I hate crying. I want to keep laughing.

Words of wisdom.

Though I'd say "Be yourself."

wow, okay i really like your ambition but you might want to take it down a notch...you can still do all those things, but you might want to spread it all out during your entire high school experience/career. Take it from someone who JUST finished her freshman year, it is a LOT of work. Homework alone got me tired plus scanlation.....now that I think about it, I'm really going to have a hard time being in a sport and a club.....so my advice....slow down....

Good Luck! :)

Lols. You are going to die in high school with that mindset. I'm in college right now, and I'm through with all that high school stuff. Please do the things you listed because you want to and you enjoy it. Considering you are in honors, you're probably going to have a lot of work starting sophomore year and definitely in junior year. APs will start to kick in and you should spend time on your actual schoolwork. If you think you can handle it, then by all means. :'D
BUT high school is supposedly the best time of your life. *shrugs* It was just high school for me. I like college better. XD
Enjoy high school while you can.

I think you should try establishing an anime club if your future school doesn't have one.
And the student government election in my old high school was pretty much based on popularity. The students all had to maintain good grades as well. If you want to make it on the student gov't, you have to be outgoing and have name recognition. ^^

Good luck~
