 :noway: No library?!
Will you accept my pity?

I think I've already recommended Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, as well as Warbreaker, and Elantris.
They are awesome for lovers of fantasy and/or sci-fi.

There's also the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. It's set in an Irish environment and, of course, includes dragons.
:goodjob:

Anne McCaffrey!

I'm straying from the fantasy theme here, but Richard Peck is one of my favorite authors. He writes amazing historical fiction! His settings are incredibly detailed and believable, and instead of trying to cram in an entire war or something he takes a very narrow focus. Most of them have made me laugh and get a little misty-eyed. A Long Way from Chicago is probably my favorite that he's done. Listen to the recorded version if you can, that makes it even better. ^__^

Nicholas Sparks' Books :) From The Notebook, The Last Song until Safe Haven. I love all of his works :) Most of his works are about love & tragedy but it really what makes me so addicted to his works are the twists and surprises after reading. Cause most of the times, the novel's summary/synopsis just gives it all. T__T

OMG, yes! Another Mistborn fan!
Yeah, I've read the Mistborn series as well as his standalones, Elantris and Warbreaker.
LOVE LOVE LOVE BRANDON SANDERSON'S STYLE~

Hahah, I walked into Barnes & Noble the other day and got a shock when I saw a poster announcing that Inheritance (by Christopher Paolini) was coming out in November.
Honestly, Paolini takes WAYYYYY too long to come out with his books!
No joke, but he once joked with fans that he wrote his books with an ink nib pen.
...
I believe it, yo.

Finished HP. Got bored with Twilight after New Moon. Loved Rhyming Season and Primrose Past.

Yuukii

I like both HP and Twillight. My friend hates Twi and loves HP. Another love Twi but hate HP  :swt:

Renny

Twilight was a good story (excepting that the vampires sparkled  :haix:) till the fourth book... talk about a hectic anti-climax!!

I have not read HP

Read both HP and Twillight.

Don't hate both.

Don't love both.

I'll prefer something like 'house of night'.  :=X:

Renny

house of the night???

Yuukii

It's a book, about vampires. Different from twillight though, this have no werewolf  :=X:

Arya

I've been delaying the House of Night books forever XD Is it really worth reading?

I recently read the Pixie series by Carrie Jones and to my surprise quite enjoyed it. Im really looking forward to the next one.... whenever that will get released >.<

I also tried the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. Did anyone else feel a Twilight and/or Mortal Instruments influence in her writing? O.o;;

The fantasy genre is new for me. I use to avoid it like the plague XD and now i seem to be on a girlie fantasy binge. Im finding it's the equivalent to eating junk food, only for the brain - fun to read but completely useless. XDDDD

Yuukii

Yes, House of Night is quite worth to read. I like the story very much

Arya

Whats it about?

How many of the books have you read? XD

Yuukii

Currently, I collected all of it. A new book is coming out, and I don't know when  :donwan:

It's actually about vampires. In the world, there are 'trackers' that 'track' and 'mark' them as a vampire.

However, after you have been marked, you need to be 'awakened' to be a full-pledge vampire. After marked, there is only two choice, you die if your transformation is unsuccessful or awakened.

When they are marked, they have a tatto like mark on their forehead that is empty. After you are awakened, the tatto will be filled and can be spread all over the body, depending on your strength.

However, the main character, was marked and her mark was already filled. Then, lots of enemy, blah blah blah etc. A few boys goes after her, then betrayed by her friends, died, revived blah blah.

It's a nice story about family, friends and love  :goodjob:

Renny

sounds like a relly good book... maybe I'll track it down and read it  :=X:

The whole story is about a boy who finds a dragon egg which leads to him being a legend reborn. The first book is Eragon, second is Eldest, third is Brisnigr and fourth is Inheritance... Awesome adventure action book!!!
