I've been meaning to update the TS guidelines for a while, and to make it easier I'm basically just copying and modifying Xye's old guidelines instead of modifying her post since that whole thread was outdated.  I've locked and unstickied her thread, which is here for comparison.  Yes this post is really long, but it should pretty much be EVERYTHING a Typesetter needs.
:woohehe:

Things you need to know:
- All files must be saved in .png format
- Naming Rule: http://forum.ourtranscendence.com/index.php?topic=5.0
- It is strongly suggested that you have a mediafire or megaupload account, so that your files will not be deleted.
- Don't forget to add the Recruitment and Credits page (if it is not already added by the cleaner) and make sure that the Credits page is updated with the correct information.
- Saving Rule: http://forum.ourtranscendence.com/index.php?topic=1915.0
- All text in boxes or bubbles should be centered both horizontally and vertically.
- SFX fonts should be similar to the font used for the raw.  When the SFX has not been removed by the cleaner, use a similar font and font direction, but smaller size.  In this case, if you choose to include "SFX:" before the translation, it should use the same font.
- Font choices and size should be consistent throughout the chapter and with previous chapters.  Project managers should provide a font specification/list for their projects.
- Thoughts in bubbles should ALWAYS be in Main Talk font, #666666. There are a few exceptions to these rules such as if the thought bubble is spikey/yelling/etc.

Two VERY important notes:

- Please set your text anti-aliasing to "smooth" because it kills people's eyes when they are set as strong, etc.
- Make sure that your text layers are all above the leveling layers. Why? Well because they affect the texts too! In some of the chapters the words look over-leveled (which kills the eyes).

Fonts to Use:
These are the standard fonts we use for our projects. It is not a strict rule set in stone, and every project has its own font list.  The most important point is that fonts be consistent within projects.  For new projects, Project Managers should use this list as a template to guide your choices in creating your own font list. PM's should confirm their font list with the Head Editor.
