I Screen You Screen

I was taking a screen cap to show off my manga bookmarks (read: nerdiness) and I realized that my screen really shows a lot about me, so I decided to do it meme style and turn it into a game!

To play, just take a screen capture of your computer screen and label it with all the things that are really indicative of you.  You can submit more than one, but no more than once a day.

Yes, Pau, I do.  But I am caught up on all of them except Zombie-Loan, so it's not like I spend all day reading manga (usually.  Occasionally I find one I'm obsessed with and can't stop until I'm caught up).

Vaux! Another late late nighter! I'm usually up until 3am.  Ugh.  I literally consider 1-2am an early night... Kudos to DA and GoT bookmarks.  I took my DA off since I have it bookmarked on my work account (I have two separate computer users for work and personal) and we just download Game of Thrones via torrent every week lol.

Angel, I wrote mine with the brush tool and it was soooo painstaking.  My handwriting is horrid to begin with, never mind writing with a mouse.

Yeah. I normally zone out to Lala Land around 4 - 7am, lol. Not having classes definitely screwed up my body clock... And why do you have separate users for personal/work stuff? I just keep everything under one account and try to exercise some degree of self-control. xD

@Kiriane: I also agree that you should post them anyway, blur them out, then just place a note on them saying that it's unfit for our younger viewers lol.

@Pau: I use Firefox, too.  Opera is SO SLOOOOOW on my computer, it makes me want to chuck tables.  And I just flat out don't like chrome.

If I had a home office, I would do that.  Right now I just have my own PC and a laptop, and both of them have the same accounts and are relatively synced so I can work remotely.  It makes me feel all accomplished and grown up, until I remember that all my clients dried up and no work is coming in.

I don't know how to sync computers since I've never tried to but I'm the same with Harr. I have two laptops; one for uni, the other for movies/games/etc.

Thank you, Angel! It's just very frustrating right now.

Pau, syncing means making sure the devices (computers, phones, MP3 players, etc.) have the same information.  At least, that they have some of the same information, based on what you tell it to sync.  You can do it with certain programs (like Firefox), or with files.  I use Adobe Creative Cloud for my work related files, and am in the process of finding a cloud system for my personal files.  ATM I just copy them over via the network, which is rather time-consuming and irritating.


In other news, here's my desktop! The most prominent features are the MMO and graphic design paraphernalia.  The latter isn't really done justice, though, since I have almost every program in the Adobe CS 6, which is its own embarrassing bit of nerdom.

all important files are in "my documents" arranged and organized , and all uh "un-needed" files are deleted (since it just waste space). to sum it up. i'm kinda like a neat freak for computers I guess?

Yes, it's called Lord of the Rings Online.  It's F2P and is kinda slow-going unless you pay for leveling boosts and stuff.  I still like it, though.  My favorite is still WoW, though.  That's how I met my husband, so it has a special place in my heart.

My latest screen cap! It's how I have Nexus Font organized, and my fonts folder for comparison.

Since I use a TON of fonts for my job (graphic designer), I have them organized into folders anyway.  Then in Nexus Font, I created groups to mimic those folders.  All my fonts for Transcendence are in the "Comic" folder, as seen in the screen cap.  You can see how Groups are folders or groups of folders.

Then I have Sets for each project I do, be it for work or Transcendence.  For manga, each manga project on which I work has its own set full of all the fonts I use for it.  I just go into the "Comic" group and select the fonts I want for the project, then right click on them and add them to the set (Migawari, Sugar Family, etc.).
