I find this manga kinda unique... dunno, haven't read many mangas, so if someone knows any that is similar to this, please share! as this kind of story seems interesting x3
Black Bird is cute and freaky at the same time lolz xD Poor girl suffers from that kind of "gift" T.T But fortunately, here comes a handsome Tengu in our play The artwork is also beautiful... Not to mention that smutty part <3

Yeah, it's a pretty interesting manga. Its a nice 'fluffly'/light manga read. I really enjoy it (: I've always loved Sakurakouji Kanoko's works. All of them are good reads.

Sagami is my favourite... even if he doesn't get a lot of screen time, he's pretty! 

It's such an interesting concept, I can't wait to see how it ends!

ChibiHeaven's right. It's one of those light/fluff shojos. I'd recommend Hug/Kiss (since it's also adorable and the guy's a bishie) and it's complete (if you hate waiting for chapters like I do).
I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I'm really adoring Black Bird right now <3. (Definitely agree Hug/Kiss is amazing as well!). Though Misao's lack of action can be frustrating - provides good story opportunities but really why is she just standing there getting attacked? XD. Oh Tarou can I have you?

This has to be one of the best mangas I've read in a while!!  It's really similar to Hana to Akuma, but the characters are completely different.  I love that the chapters are so long too, it's so anticlimactic when there's only 10 or 15 pages.

I definitely suggest you at least give it a try.
(For one, the heroine is much better, as is the art, and the hero isn't such a sadistic pig)  Good times!

It keeps getting more and more interesting! The demons look way more attractive in their demonic/winged-form; it reminds me of cowboy bandits in a way (cover nose and mouth with a bandana). Can't wait to get my grubby hands on volume 10

I checked out about 30 Jpns language books and im doing a self-study next year to become more fluent (one of my new year's resolutions) along with learning spanish. When im done with those 2, tagalog and chinese are next. Maybe even Russian/Ukrainian languages...

Not a bad manga, typical of shoujo manga that has smut in it.. BUT, the real difference is for this manga is, it has a story to tell, don't let all the smutty images and the weak girl-possessive lover get in the way or the corny cliches get in the way, there is a reason why this manga was awarded and not so many others with the same ingredients cook up ala Monster Love, or even Twilight (ok, ok, Twilight is different as well but somewhere along the line, Black Bird was made to be a Japanese Twilight... ) Anyhow, I believe the mangaka puts a lot of effort into her storytelling, and I truly applaud her hard work, go, support her by buying her tankoubon. :)

This is definitely one manga that I really enjoy.  I just hope there isn't like some huge love triangle and her "feelings" start wavering and she doesn't know what to do.  I just want a manga to stay consistent.  I don't want their to be any type of "I'm leaving you because it's for your own good." type of thing.  I just want the people who are in love to stay together...forever...no if's and's or but's about it!  Misao cries a lot for my taste but hey it's ok.  She doesn't come as really whiny to me or anything so I can deal with it.  I hope it stays on the track that it is on.  The story is good so I give kudos to the author for her work! Keep 'em comin guys!

aawh!! black bird ...i just love this manga...talk about funny ,action, intrigue and just entertaining. i have read quite a few mangas but this is top favorite. Kyou & Misao relationship is just awesome and i believe they will definitely stay together no matter how much shou tries to rip them apart. ain't happening see although i do think he is in love with Misao and he is probably in denial or just don't know how to deal with it but nonetheless Kyou is the right one for her; though he can be a bit perverted at times...but i still love him. Great manga!! Awesome job Transcendence !!

Currently in Japan there are 15 volumes released but there will be more and nobody knows at the moment how many. ^^

I reckon there will be about 20 volume, as the characters have begun to appear individually on the front of the tankoubon, and so far they've done Kyo, Misao, Sho, Zenki and Hoki- they still need to do ones for Sagami <3, Buzen and the lickle kids. ^^ That's what I think, anyway. I think it's a beautiful series, though.

Ok I'm super new to the world of manga. Actually, the only reason I got into it recently was because during this summer I got bored and I re-watched some of my childhood animes, Dragon Ball (Z) and Cardcaptor Sakura, and they brought back so many happy memories and feelings. I couldn't get enough of CCS, so I actually went and read the manga for it. So that would be my very first manga, and that happened about three weeks ago. So I think I actually like reading mangas and someone recommended Black Bird on Yahoo answers.  So I looked it up, and I LOVE IT SOOOOOO MUCH!!! I read all 54 chapters in one night. So I'm caught up. I don't want to sound like a pest, cuz I'm actually patient and extremely thankful for all of Transcendence's hard work, but I was just curious of when the next one will be released? Again, I'm not trying to be pushy what so ever.  I'm new to this site, let alone manga. I'm just not sure if this is an old project, or if its been updated recently, or if  there ever will be an update, I simply don't know and I was just curious. If there was anyway I could help I would, but I don't understand Japanese so I wouldn't be much use. But if anyone can find me a job to do I would gladly, and happily do it.

Generally it is very impolite to ask when the next chapter is coming out unless there hasn't been a release in a year or so.  It's kind of spamming your friend with 'Are we there yet?' on a roadtrip. 
We are rather short on staff, so if you want faster releases and you can proofread or translate or you have some photoshop experience you're more than welcome.

It's spelled (ki-yo-u) so we tack on the extra U to stay faithful to the spelling, plus I think it looks nicer.

I just want to say that the reflection of Kyou's face on pg. 13 of chapter 54.1 (the "Taxi" special) cracks me up.

But not nearly as much as Misao's face when she sees Buzen's "ICBM" on page 21 in the "Bath" special.

the story is too stereotypical. Cute girl that is weak,strong boy with a mischievous touch, they fall in love, overcome obstacles together, which includes her getting insecure, and so on and so forth, they live happily ever after.

I don't like it when it is too predictable.
