you know the in ear ones? their like plungers you know, when the wire got caught around the door, the earphones got pulled out with a nice *pop* sound

That's why I prefer the ones that "rest" in your ear rather than "insert" into your ear.

Yet I've still gotten static shocked through my wire. And that hurt too.

How did you manage to do that?!
Maybe the wire just isn't right?

It almost always happens when I'm using my earphones while opening my locker. The wire touches the metal locker door and ZAP.


You would think that the rubber would do something to protect against static, right? NO.

It should.... Time for new ones? 

My last pair really fell apart after almost 4 years of loyal service... Imiss them!! 
My new ones are not that good....

Yeah... Well, luckily or unluckily for me this year, I rarely use my locker because it's in an inconvenient location. The school couldn't pick a locker farther away from my classes, you know?

I haven't been shocked yet with the earphones I use now (Skullcandy!), so I'm hoping that I won't ever have the static problem again. That problem only occurred when I used my Sony earphones.

Whoa...four years? The longest any of mine have ever lasted was 2 years... O.O

We just have one so called 'locker-house' wher all the lockers are... But our lockers are way smaller than American ones... In vertical position you fit one or two. We fit in 5 of them... You can only stuff in your books, your coat and with some effort your pe bag... (push it clise with your whole weight and quickly try to turn the key...) sometimes takes several tries -.-'

But the plug part seriously fell apart... I could see all the wiring... And I just loved them soooo much! 
I had Apple earphones. RIP earphones...

I had lockers almost like that (only 3 in a column) in middle school, but it was only for PE. It was annoying because 3 people were trying to cram into the same area at the same time. -.-;

Nah, it's okay :) you learn how to work in a small space ^-^
and we don't have 5 people cramming in the same place, everybody patiently waits... And then there is me xD
