That is something to consider. Just set yourself a limit before you go out with anyone.

You shouldn't set the bar too high, but it is okay to know what you're looking for. The best way to date is to first get to know the guy before you actually start a relationship. You are allowed to have standards of course, but don't be afraid to go out with a guy because he doesn't fit all of your criteria. The perfect guy does not exist, there are only the ones who make you forgive their flaws.

thats what everyone keeps saying to me, but then they complain about my standards being to high. even though, i dont think they are because my standards are i want someone who is going to make me happy, smile, laugh, feel like a normal human being, and they are not going to cheat, tell lies, and control me like my mom does.

in our town, almost ALL of us are relatives (about 70% i guess?) in fact, there was one time when my cousin here had a crush on his classmate and it turns out that it was his cousin. another one was when another cousin of mine found out that his rival in basketball was also his cousin. also, it turns out one of my classmates in college is also my cousin. my uncle is the university's guard etc...
