Sounds that are cringe worthy

What are some sounds that you absolutely cannot stand to listen to?

For me it's the sound of a blaring alarm clock and a phone that is ringing off the hook ~_~.  I hate having to wake up to an alarm, especially mine!  It scares the crap out of me.  Ok yes of course the easy fix to this would be to buy a new alarm but my clock has sentimental value and I refuse to part with it until it breaks.  But I still hate the sound of any alarm clock so I don't really think my hatred for this sound will be dulled just by buying a new clock.

And as for the ringing phone....answer it all ready!!!! >.<

Wow, LillyMace, I love my alarm ringtone. XD Because I use my phone as my alarm, I set the ringtone to all the nice songs I like. XD But that has drawbacks, I wouldn't really wake up after my alarm sounds. It's not annoying enough to wake me up!

And I absolutely can't stand screeching sounds. No matter it's someone screaming/screeching, or when cars jam their breaks followed by the screeching of the tyres... Need I mention scratching the chalk on chalkboard? They are all pretty horrible. >o< I get shivers down my spine.

Yeaahhh ugh nails on a chalkboard! Hate hate hate that!! You are absolutely right, any screeching sound is awful!!  They make my ears want to bleed.

Unoiled brakes, a fork scraping across a china plate, chains jangling, certain songs with the bass cranked up and whistling teakettles left on the burner for too long.
