On an interesting note, I used to avoid yaoi and even shounen-ai, too. XD
Then I found works by people like Sahara Mizu and Abe Miyuki, which had excellent art and plot despite the boys' love.
I do agree that some yaoi are a little...out there, though.

I do wish sometimes that I'd never been pulled into the fujoshi world.
It eats up too much of my time. XD
