Kaichou lost its appeal for me too long ago.
It's a horrible comparison, though. They're both shoujo, but one's dramatic fantasy, and the other one is a rom-com. It's like comparing two different genres...

I have to say vampire knight.
Although kaichou wo maid sama is better at romance and silliness, but

I prefer their manga version more.. Usui, Zero and Kaname are mooooore handsome in manga than in anime version...

I agree Yuukii... Yuki is getting useless the more I read it.. but I must admit almost all their main characters are very handsome and gorgeous...

I think it's more along the lines of Yuuki's character is still building up in VK where as in KWMS Misaki is trying to overcome her embarassment. Know what I mean? They're both determined and strongly built, but Yuuki spent her 16(?) years as a human and now she's facing different obstacles. So I don't think the two can be compared. The drama is different. KWMS will never get anymore serious beyond family problems (we all know they will live a happy ending). VK will become more serious with vampires coexisting with humans (and vice versa), love triangles, betrayal, trust, bonds/pacts. Maybe you can compare VK with Blood Alone and KWMS with something else.

But... I just realized this was under anime so what I said may be relevant as I was talking about the manga. I dropped both the shows after watching one episode because the art never did it justice compared to the manga. (not that it's their fault fully)

But I really think that VK sells well due to art work. The deep plot (no matter how long... it takes them to dive into it) is the back up. I was addicted to the first 2 chapters of VK when it first came out and I actually bought the magazine.

Well even in novels, the movie productions are always worst (cept for very few individuals). I felt the anime did Yuuki no justice Q.Q so I just shun it.

Kaicho ha maid sama was cute and sweet.

Vampire Knight was okay. It has better graphics though but the storyline, for me, was underdeveloped.

But for me KWMS is much better. 'cause it is about romance and comedy.
VK is all about vampires, blood, powers, which is doesn't exist but there is also romance.

I'm very loyal to Vampire Knight, even though the story has been bugging me for ages (when Kaname started his rampage, I actually got an anxiety attack). I also like KwMs, but it's just not as...epic, I guess.

well obviously everyone will vote kaichou wo maid-sama. They're both different storyline and genres. Vampire knight is like romantic but in a very killer way. As for Kaichou its kind of have comedy in it ; and its more entertaining than vk.

But I will still like VK more than KWM-S, because not that I hate romance or has anything to do with vampires, but the storyline is VERY exciting; its like Bleach. with those supernatural things.
