Transcendence Family

So this is sort of the Transcendence Family Tree, since we're one big scanlation family.

So so far, it's:
Xye - The mother of all Transcendence
Tammy + Werr = Transcendence Baby

So the tree sort of looks like this:

Okay, right now it's easy to draw since there's only three people
*crings at the thought of how big and complicated the tree is gonna be*
, but where does everyone else wanna slot in?
And also, I don't know if Xye wants to be the mother of everything, we just sort of stuck her there.

@Nicole: I've experimented with Project Groups, but a node ((box/circle plaintext with the) name) can only belong to one cluster, so it didn't work as most people work on two projects or more... The same goes for Co-admin groups. There might be a way to make one node belong to more clusters, but I haven't found it yet... (I'm relatively new to this program)

I think I'm going to try to make another one based on the time one's been a member of Transcendence, making a few generations. I won't put up any lines in between, that is for you to decide ^^

Transcendence was created on the 27th of March, 2009 (the date Xye joined), meaning it is now 143 days old (as it is the 17th of August). For calculation purposes, let's pretend now it's the 19th...

generation 1: 27-3 (DD-MM) (Xye)
generation 2: 28-03 -- 03-05 (Misaki, Mithril, Max, Kiriane, Evory, Aquila, nancy, Tammy, Xiaowu, Ell, Crisn, Yume and angelwriter)
generation 3: 04-05 -- 08-06 (kAtZuMi22, Firestar, Cheradee, BakaScarlet, Miharu, Zain, Iteza, kid and Yumiko)
generation 4: 09-06 -- 14-07 (hermux, Nozomi, superspazmizu, Criss, malsaneta, HeavenlyQueen, Nicole and Sakira)
generation 5: 15-07 -- 19-08 (werr, Shiki, ShiroyukiShiko, dlee655, drexizle, Mono-Pi, lolita.xx, Amber, Mort, Zaffy and surfingsaint)

Apart from between generation 1 and 2, there's 36 days between each generation. The next generation will be from 20-08 to 24-09.

Here you can see what I mean (I had to add lines to it, or else it would have become horizontal. They are in the middle of the block, not supposed to be attached to a name. Ones there are lines, everything will be much simpler to make.) I removed the groups for simplicity's sake.

Perhaps Xye, nancy and Kiriane could be the matriarchs; Xye being the eldest [head of the household] and nancy and Kiriane being her younger sisters.  then branch off according to the series they are in charge of, and so on.  Maybe we'll all be more of 'adopted apprentices' than offspring... ;)  Generations could be determined by the date each staff member joined.  [random example: Max and Mithril would both be 'older' then me]

staff of those projects [or each project could be a generation [inc. Zero Count]]

if only there were a paid position in the world to solve these kinds of puzzles...

As for the overlapping of projects, perhaps the staffer's first project?  Maybe the overlapping would be the marriages! XD either that or "second cousin thrice removed on your mother's father's side by marriage!"  rotfl  idk...

Here's the third draft of the tree, with Xye, Misaki, Kiriane and nancy as sisters (of the Mysterious Parents). I've messed around with the fonts, and made a title. There are also no lines underneath the 4 'sisters', I'm going to leave that up to you.

Because I have no sense for colors at all, I'll need a little bit of help for that... (available colors: see here)

I'm still looking for a way to make a node belong to more clusters...

You can make the admins unrelated, so there's less chance of incest.
And also, girls outnumber boys so either the guys will have to be into polygamy or there will be a few spinsters. As for Evory's request,

I've typed out the rules for 'marrying' (I just completely made this up. They are not definite.):

The rules:
- If you want to 'marry' another member, you should let her/him know first. You can also propose on the forum, and wait for their answer. New policy: marry whoever you want, with our without their knowledge/consent. If they end up not approving of it, you can divorce.
- You can always refuse a 'marriage'.
- You are allowed to 'marry' someone who is not a member of the forum (fictional people are allowed too), but try to choose from the staff first (especially the guys!).
- You are allowed to set up people for 'marriage'.
- Gay 'marriage' is an option.
- Polygamy is possible.
- You can divorce. You don't even have to be really 'married' for it.
- You can be 'married' and have no children (but it is not preferable)
- It is possible to have children without being 'married'/illegitimate children.
- You can adopt.
- You can decide your own parents.
- Some of us may be capable of parthenogenesis ("an asexual form of reproduction found in females where growth and development of embryos occurs without fertilization by a male." -Wikipedia). Here, the guys may be capable of it too.
- Preferably, your kids are staff members. Try to stick to the generations, but it's no disaster if you don't.

Post here if:
- You are 'marrying' someone. Say who your kids are going to be, if you have them.
- You want to set up two people for 'marriage'. Also say who their kids are going to be, if they are going to have them.
- You have divorced from someone/are going to divorce someone, and if you had kids from your previous 'marriage' (and who they are if you did).
- You have adopted a child.
- You think someone else has adopted a child.
- You know who's kid your going to be.
- You believe you are capable of parthenogenesis, say who your kids are going to be.
- You believe someone else is capable of parthenogenesis, say who their kids are going to be.
- You absolutely refuse to get 'married'/have children. We'll spare you.

Newest version. It now looks like a tree =D.

There are a lot of question marks that need to be filled in... with whoever you want. (but try too choose from the single staff members first.)

I removed the staff groups, because the clusters can only be rectangles, no weird shapes, so it was undo-able to keep them, because then I would get something that wouldn't even remotely look like a tree.

I intend to give the nodes a color for every group. Does anyone have suggestions? I need color-advice for the following (I've provided the link with the colors earlier): Admin (now red3), Cleaners, Co-admins (now red2), Editors, Outsiders, Proofreaders, Quality Checkers, Translators, Typesetters, Unknown (now white) and the Webmistress (now green). While I'm at it, you can also comment on the background (skyblue2) and cluster (darkorchid1) colors.

I've added the option 'Divorce' and 'Affair' (no data for it. Yet...).

Everyone who now was in the tree, but didn't have a spouse and/or kid yet, got married to (and gave birth to) a question-mark, for you to fill in.

Keep suggesting everyone ^^.
