I don't know how many of you know or even understand math (I surely don't lol), but I need help with my math project which is due to three days!!  *stress

I am in tenth grade, advanced geometry, and for our project we have to draw the orthocenter, circumcenter, centroid, and incenter of a triangle my teacher gave us. I'm fine with drawing the points with a compass, but am having trouble with
finding the exact point of the incenter :(

She wants us to set up a system of equations (equations of the angle bisectors), and then solve them for the point, but the thing is I can't find ANY of the equations of the angle bisectors  :omg:

Sooo...If anyone here is a mathematician! Please save meee  :'(

Hehe... I'm in Pre-Calculus... Forgot all this stuff.

Equations of the angle bisectors:
1. You need to find the equations for the lines of the triangle.
2. Once you have that equation put it into standard form.
The incenter is an equidistant circle from a point that is tangent at least two sides of a triangle while being contained inside.

Think about it :D

Sorry, just realized I left some stuff out of EAB.

3. After it's in standard form analyze the equation. It should look like y = mx + b.

Y is your Y axis co-ordinate, M is your slope, X is your X-Axis co-ordinate and B is your deviation.

4. Take that and plug it into slope point form (SPF) y-y1=m(x - x1)

5. You have variables for Y, M and X from steps 2 + 3. Plug them in. (X1,Y1) should be on the line. Cheerz :D If you don't understand something ask.

Oh I do have the lines that form the triangle and in slope-intercept form, but I still don't know what to do to find the equation of the angle bisectors :(. I thought about the equidistant circle, the radii will be perpendicular at the point of tangency (so it will include the incenter, but can I gurantee that the point of tangency is on the angle bisector?

Soo I was at a standstill with that question..and don't know how to set up anything for angle bisector.. GAHH MATH D:.

Thanks for helping by the way! Much appreciated :)

Oh kay! I went to school today and the teacher explained some of it along with my friends, so I'm good now :)

Thanks!

It's best to have someone you know in real life to help you with these type of problems. (:
Because as soon as your learn harder, longer math problems, you wont be able to type it on here.
unless you have a graphing calculator. (:

Lol, Nibb.

Love math. Most favorite subject. Calculus was amazing  =D
Yet, I have never heard of most of those math terms.
