Siblings...[this could get ugly...jk]

Yeah, sometimes it sucks, buuuut~

I have a brother (6years Younger) and a sister(1year Younger). I'm the oldest, and I would be lying if I said that I never wished I was a single child 

However, I'm glad I'm not: We fight a lot, but we enjoy alot each other's company. They are my best friend and my most important persons 

That's why, I can't stand when I see siblings always fighting each other and hating each other. It's too sad, and it always make me want to cry...

Siblings... how nice. My brother used to be really nice to me until he entered adolescence, then he hated me, and now we're just normal aquantainces.

I have a sister that I find really annoying. She just loves to lecture me on random things.

sometimes i think my little sister (2nd oldest) a boss or something

pinching on my hand (or any other parts) that says "stop that"

saying she's right and stuff

truth be told, sometimes what she says to me stabs straight to the heart.

the worst one was where she told me "your bringing shame to this family" (not sure if translation is right) TT_TT

not to mention sometimes we rarely talk. surely we have fun times but those times last like about 5 min.

Now I'm wondering if I've ever been a good big sister (note: i'm the eldest[17]. 1 borther [10] and 2 sisters [14 & 16])!!

BUT REALLY, they're their own worst critics, and they are actually AMAZING siblings.

It's not that great. You have a lot of responsibilities but it's also pretty cool, watching your siblings grow up and having the Boss status over them. B)

OT: Most siblings that are the same gender rarely have conflicts with one another, because they understand each other. Except those twisted people.
My siblings drive me crazy, but they just wanted to teach me to be good.

Sally, when I was 8 my mom worked a full time job and went back to school full time and my dad went back to work, so my sister did not see my mom or my dad much b/c they were always busy, so she thought that I was her mom, since I was the one taking care of her.


Yea Lia, its was a huge responsibility a lot of people think that my sister is my real child b/c we are so close.

there was one time when i was going with my sister to the church, a person idk passes by and says "oh, are going to the church with your child? ".

Oh that happens to me all the time and it is annoying b/c it makes me think that I look older than I should

there was also the time when i was in the mall and a shop selling children's books told me "hey! do you wanna buy a book for you child? (or somewhere along the line =___=)

which reminds me. have you guys ever experienced helping your sisters/brothers in their homework then find out the next day that the solutions you taught were all wrong?

Yep that as happened to me a couple of times. I have also taught my sister the way i was taught to do something b/c her teacher didnt teach them and the teacher yelled at her, told her that the way i taught her was wrong and she wanted them to do it a special way.

My sister and I never really interacted with homework I guess. I didn't need the help anyway, so it worked out just fine

but one of them RARELY even do his homework/project.

I can only say, let them learn the hard way.

As we say here, burn your butt, you gotta sit on the blisters.

Just believe that they are going to be fine in the end.

you could say one the people with the highest grade. if the grading was 1-100%, he's average would always be about 93-95% i guess?

now it's somewhere between 80%

Isn't that still great?! I haven't even heard of anybody in my school who has that... I'm one of the smartest kids in school and I'm dangling around 73%

Maybe our tests are just harder?

The high school system is quite different here, so I suppose that has something to do with it?

Maybe, I hear education over there is a lot tougher!

Well, we are divided into level of education, you could see it like this:
- the dumb people
- the average people
- the smart people
(the very smart people)

The tests are made according to what level you are in, the classes are also different depending on where you are.

I'm in the very smart people class, so tests are hard according to my level.

Right now we are learning to calculate volumes of function that we revolve around the x- and y-axis...

The biggest lesson I learned this year was that sometimes you have to think of your health over school work/stress ^^;;

AMEN, LIA. that comes a LOT more into play when you go to college (especially if you're boarding away from school) because your parents aren't there to hover over you and take care of you. i know my roommate at some point worked herself to the point where she was bedridden for a whole day cause she kept going out/studying/doing work nonstop. that's even happened to me, although i had a slightly different situation ^^;

It's not necessarily rebellious, most teens go through a lonely alienated phase. What you can do is support her interests, no matter how bad she may be at it, as long as she's not hurting herself. Buy her a pretty book for her to write down her feelings in. Don't address the subject head on, show her you love her and care for her by going around the subject and treat her/invite her to things she think are fun (and get with the times, the interests change FAST as you might remember). Or, you can just meet her feelings. It may be hard as a sibling that's way through and over that phase to not just shrug it off and tell her to grow up and stop being silly. She'll hopefully know how silly she was when she gets older. Just let her vent and treat her feelings wholeheartedly. And, just listen. You will grow closer as people, and she won't feel as lonely. She'll still be in the lonely phase, but at least, let her know that your world would crumble if she wasn't in it.

(I've seen too many teens disappear in this phase, and I almost did too, so don't treat it lightly).
