How did you get the hair to look so nice?

i use the original set brushes instead of cs5 ones cuz im just used to it (the blurry 19 one on the left side after the really sharp ones). I do the first layer of hair (strand by strand always) with low opacity ~40-60% and a bigger size brush (12-14?) then i increase in opacity, decrease in brush size and brighten up the color and do another layer of hair

keeping in mind where the light comes from, cuz you dont wanna add random bright lines everywhere.

You kinda just build it up =)
