Good clean anime?

I was going to start an anime club at my school :)

But the room I would use has HUGE windows looking out into the hallway, where the headmaster and dean of students frequently pass by  :swt:

Is there any anime that is CLEAN (not too much violence, and nothing too suggestive (like the whole emphasis on breasts and stuff might be a bit much)), but still good for girls and boys to watch?

Oh and can it be something easily downloadable or watchable (like netflix, and it doesn't have to be instant, or on youtube?)

I know, there's a lot of restrictions, but I haven't been able to think of any except Kimi ni Todoke (a bit too shoujo), or Bakuman (a little hard to watch on a stable website)

Thank you!

`Roze`

I know Netflix has Soul Eater and I love that show and I don't think its thats violent. I mean you're gonna have some violence if you want to attract boys.

InuYasha you can find on Youtube pretty easily. I watched all the seasons on there not too long ago and didn't have trouble finding any episodes.

D. Gray Man is a lot like Soul Eater in the fact that it has some violence but I wouldnt say it's overly much.

Fruits Basket! But Idk if guys would like that one. Its really fluffy :P

Baka & Test was pretty neat. I really liked it. A bit of fighting but it has a school/learning setting to it.

Xxxholic & Cannan (Has some fighting in it, but I wouldnt say its overly much again.)

Gunslinger girl was really good! But I don't know how a school would take too a bunch of elementary school kids that are adopted and are brain-washed to be spies/killers. Obviously some fighting. Fairly interesting plot to it.

Blood+ And Elfen Lied were awesome. But Blood+ was a bit more on the gorey violent side and Elfen Lied has some naked girls in it, but it was sort of necessary to the plot/story in a way I think.

My sisters (13 & 9) Watched Angel Beats and they said it was good. I never watched it so Idk how violent it is.

FullMetal Alchemist and FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are really good! (Brotherhood is better.) But a couple of the seasons of FMA:Brotherhood aren't on netflix anymore. But you should be able to find them on youtube or dubhappy.com

Ouran Highschool Host Club! Fairly little violence and its pretty cute.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles is awesome but I had trouble finding it a few weeks ago online.

Then theres X which is done by Clamp, who does TRC and Kamui, who is also in the OVAs of TRC, is the main character in X. Again with the fighting but I didn't think it was that bad. That use to be on Netflix.

Death Note is mostly mind-games, rare violence. Its interesting and easy to find.

I'd also look on the funimation website because some of the animes they have you can watch online or you can buy a subscription to it and acess some episodes. I've really thought about doing the subscription to funimation cuz they've got a lot of good animes on there for watch instantly.

For some of those that you may be unsure about I'd do a little more research, perhaps watch an episode or two and see if they'd be fitting for your age-group in your club. :)

Angel~

I don't watch anime regularly, but from Roze's list I recommend:
- Fruits Basket
- FullMetal Alchemist
- Death Note (one of my favs, I also advise to watch the movies, AWESOME)

I do have some good sites:
- animecrazy.net
- anilinkz.com

Good luck, have fun and the works!  *skip

I would question Elfen Leid and Blood+, and Death Note is kind of iffy as far as "safe" though all three are indeed awesome.

My tiny contribution is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (a rather strange series) and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, which is hilarious.

I second xxxHolic, Ouran, Fruits Basket and FMA (either one), though I would suggest watching the first three eps of anything you want to suggest so you can get an idea of what it's like.

Currently QCing: Hanayashiki no Juunintachi, Shibariya Komachi, Men's Kou, Black Bird, Butter!!, and Cosplay Animal

Thank you everybody! :) All of these are good, though I might drop Elfen Lied and Blood+  out of my list.

I'll look through the rest (some of them I have watched before, but didn't think of ^.^)

Just a warning, if you're getting official funding from the school there might be restrictions on what dubs you can watch, in my (college) anime club we couldn't watch anything that had an official dub unless someone had bought the DVD/had a netflix acct because of copyright issues, and movies were off limits unless we bought the rights.

Nope, not being funded ^.^ It's all up to me and the vice-pres of the club to find an appropriate anime to be cleared with the librarian, then we're good to go  :heeee:

I'd like to add Fairy Tail to this - you already have many great series, but if you want a long one that's clean and great fun, I really recommend it.
Star Driver also was really enjoyable, it's a comedy mix of relationship stuff and mecha battles ( I suck at summing up... but it was fun^^)

If people haven't seen Azumanga Daioh, it is a very light and silly anime that has zero objectionable content as far as I remember. It gets a tiny bit weird sometimes, but only in a silly way.

It's one of my favorites!

Nichijou has a similar sort of feel to it, and I can't remember anything violent or inappropriate in it, although it does get weirder than Azumanga.

Thanks everyone! :o_o:

I've narrowed it down to D.Gray-Man, Fairy Tail, and Nichijou  *skip

If anyone still wants good clean anime:

Thoughtful/neutral:
Mushishi
Chihayafuru (not sure if that's dubbed)
Natsume Yuujinchou

Shonen: Kekkaishi, D. Gray-Man, FMA

Shoujo (not too girly): Fruits Basket (classic!), Ouran (funny), Victorian romance Emma, chii's sweet home (cute kittyyyy!)

Of the studio Ghibli films, the safe ones are:
Arietty
Kiki's delivery service
Laputa castle in the sky
Spirited Away
My Neightbour Totoro
among others.

Sgt. Frog is good, and Netflix still offers season 3 streaming, but you'll have to download seasons 1 & 2 or get the DVDs of it.

I also think Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club are really good for it!

Kamisama Kiss is subbed and can be streamed on the Funimation website.  There's nothing really objectionable in that, either.
