I need your help for our third anniversary!
[spoiler]I know you're all like "Oh, third anniversary...Hm, must be in January, amirite?" Well, wrong. It's actually in March, but we're getting a head start this year since we're going to make this anniversary memorable, guiz. We are NOT going to fail like we have in previous years! We are going to go out with a bang!

OK, intro's over. Now this is about to get TL;DR, so I'm going to start using random colors, italics, and spoilers.

Firstly, we should make a anniversary double spread.[spoiler]

Firstly, we need some happy birthday wishes for Baby Transcendence. Staffers, one and all, please please give me some text ideas.
Secondly, we need a background. Icewing's offered to try something, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take a look through your collection of pictures and wallpapers for something anime/manga-related!!
Thirdly, I need someone to type in the text with a couple of super special awesome fonts. Personally, I've got my eye on Lana for this, but we'll see when the time comes...[/spoiler]

Secondly, I need exploitable pages of manga.

Thirdly, manga releases. [spoiler]We have three months left. If we go at a pace of 1 chapter/3.5 days (which is our approximate pace right now), we have roughly 90 days left, which means...26 chapters.

Now, that's not a lot. That wouldn't bring us anywhere near 63 chapters (# of chapters left until our 500th chapter release milestone!!).
So, if we theoretically did a chapter every five days for sixty days, And then a chapter per day for thirty days - which would be a special release pace for the month of March...that would mean 48 chapters total, which means we'd have to produce 16 extra chapters! ;_; Holy moly, that would probably make all of us grow ulcers.
Oh, well. T_T[/spoiler]

Does anyone have any other great ideas? Please share!! :D

Namely, "go out with a bang" and the imperative to get out a large number of chapters in the "3 months left". You make it sound like 3 years is the expiration date of the group, Lil. o.o;

Oh, big sis...why so pessimistic? Trust me - You won't be useless with this. Why not be the first one to give me a happy bday comment for Transcendence? And since you're a proofreader, you've always been helping us release more.
You're over-analyzing the language, dear. It's just to make it sound more urgent...or maybe it's just my subconsciousness speaking out, who knows. :D

As you said, I'm a proofreader. Over-analyzing language is what I do. 

As for thoughts, it's not at all original, but I really like the spread you linked for Forbidden Garden and how they covered it with messages from various staff members and grateful leechers. I don't think it'd be that difficult to get a few lines out of people if we advertised for it, and the leechers would probably like the chance to get to have a quote and their name up on a chapter. It'd probably give the readership the impression that we care about them, and thus generate more "brand loyalty".

...Coldly calculating? Me?

Failing that, I could certainly attempt a sappy monologue about how indebted everyone here is to everyone ever. *grin* I'd need some stats on the group to match up to the first year spread about how we've grown and so forth, though.

It'd be really great if we could do something special for our third anniversary!! ^^ But sadly I do not have any special ideas other than you mentioned Lily.

About manga chapters - theoretically we could try doing what you wrote (with lots of motivation for the staff) considering that there are mangas that have been already translated, only editing is still needed (TnU).

Because of a comment off in the chatbox, I was hoping we could have a party in the chatbox. Last time, we were trying to break the Most Online Record of 92 which we didn't reach. So, I thought we could do it sometime during the week of the anniversary date, if not on it. Even if we don't make it, we'll have lots of fun...mass chaos in the chatbox. =D
