Considering this is a Music & Movies section, yet there is only one thread and its about music, I figured it'd be best if we added at least something about movies.

Pretty obvious what you do here. Just list your favourite movies.
Make sure you tell us, maybe you'll get some of the movies on your list to be our list with a good enough description about why you loved the movie.

For me, at present, my favourite movie of all time is Ocean's Thirteen.
Slick, elegant, cool, good acting, nice plot and one of the kind of movies I love, has to be my favourite.

Remember, you can give a whole list of your favs.

Xye

MOON CHILD!!! (Cuz it has Gackt in it XD)

Oh btw, Keep your eyes open for "Bunraku" Its gonna be screening in 2010!!!! And it has an awesome Japanese Singer in there ^__^ (Gackt XD)

Tammy

Pirates of the Carribean one! (currently)
I just really like the plot, and the characters are hilarious. I can quote so many lines from the movie. :)
But I didn't the the sequels were that good. They'd already tied everything off in the first movie, and then they suddenly throw in Davy Jones, and I was like WTH? But, they were still good.
And I really hated that cliffhanger at the end of the second movie. They should have just cut stuff out of the second movie and combined the second and third movies.
*glares at the cliffhanger*
Oh wow.. so they're iphone earpods? Wait, I mean, earrings! No! EARPHONES!!! I MEANT EARPHONES!
If you're reading this, then good for you. :3

Firestar

Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd, Corpse Bride, Titanic, Stardust, Howl's Moving Castle, Starwars saga, Lord of the Rings Trilogy Spirited Away, Dance with Me, and a whole bunch of other films.
m-r

Tammy

Ooh, Titanic, can't believe I didn't remember that one. I watched it when I was 4. My mum threw herself on top of the TV screen during the kissing/love scene and I was like WTH?
I've never watched Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, but they're classic. :D
(Please, no one give me incredulous stares and the 'i'm so disappointed in you' headshake. I already got them from my school friends, my train friends, my old school friends, my band friends, my netball coach + team, my history teacher, my history class, the bus driver, the dance teacher, some random on the street who heard me telling my friends, etc. etc.)
Oh wow.. so they're iphone earpods? Wait, I mean, earrings! No! EARPHONES!!! I MEANT EARPHONES!

LOL. And hyde. He also starred in Kagen no Tsuki but I think he looks better in Moon Child.

8DD" Try watching them? Lol, watch the three LOTR movies at one go and the whole day is gone! They are classic. I prefer the old Star Wars trilogy to the newer one though. (Ewoks! XDD)

I think the first Pirates of the Carribean movie was good but it kinda keeps going downhill as Tammy says. I didn't really understand the latest one.

And I'm gonna sound like a huge animation fan but:
Tonari no Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Gake no Ue no Ponyo, Hotaru no Haka etc.
Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Coraline (sorry for liking dark-ish stuff XD)

And of course, I'm looking forward to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland~

Mithril

My favorite movies are Accepted and The Dead Poets Society ! !
Love those two>__< They are both about school life.

Tammy

Spirited away. I think someone already said this, it's a classic. We watched it in English class, before I'd disscovered the joy of anime and i was a bit 'what the hell is going on'. But then, in the end I really enjoyed it.
And, in dramas, there's Goong(korean) and Huang Zhu Ge Ge (also known as princess pearl. It's chinese, which makes me happy cos then I don't need subs. XD)
Oh wow.. so they're iphone earpods? Wait, I mean, earrings! No! EARPHONES!!! I MEANT EARPHONES!

Tammy

I started out by listening to the music but the movie itself is lovely~

Max

i can't pick my favorite guy in phantom. either phantom, or the other guy in the white shirt..... but i've only seen the second half of the movie at a friend's house and i was like......  >:( who's te phantom? the masquarade was like  :=X: and by the end it was just ridiculous because nothing made sense anymore >_<  *dead

I personally prefer classics like the pokemon movies : P roflcopter.

OMG best movie ever. 10 Things I Hate About You. watch it! it's on youtube! the TV show remake is really bad, but the movie is HYSTERICAL.

nancy

Tammy: I am not sure...but I don't think i would ever "re-read" the book for fun. I WOULD rewatch the play and movie and stuff though. But...But...I absolutely loved and was moved by the books ending xD

Did you read the book as well? That's pretty rare actually ^_^
I hate losing. I hate crying. I want to keep laughing.

Shiki

I liked Blood Diamond xD Because the movie has A LOT of action and it actually tells people about issues in Africa such as child soldiers and the trafficking of illegal diamonds...

And I liked the movie of FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa <3 also the Bleach movie 1.

I am currently looking for a place to download the second movie but when I try to download the file in AVI there is only sounds no images... =/ so if anyone of you know where to download the Bleach Movie 2 in AVI format please tell me!

:=X: I liked my Ice Age. The characters were so dynamic. Keke~
The squirrel who never got the acorn. Haha~
Cool Diego, funny Sid, and big Manny. ;~;

I never got to watch Wall-E, I wanted to though. I saw 30 minutes of it at my work place this summer. Mo is so cutee~
I think that was the name, the little white one.

Ionno about Monsters Vs Aliens, I think I zoned out when that movie came out. I have very little recollection of that movie. Shall look it up~

All time favorite? Hmmm...
I think it's "Stigmata" O.O I don't really know why, it just comes to my mind every time. Since I also like "Constantine" I guess I just like those kind of movies... Great, I just spilled cake on ma keyboard >O *wipes it off*

Anyways, the other films I like, are:
~ "Gladiator"... It's just so darn sad TT^TT
~ "Duelist" (Korean)... That man is just so manga-like O.O A total hot hero... and sad... I just luv him >?<
~ "Pan's Labyrinht"... How can I like it? It's so gore and depressing and not fairy at all >.< But I still watched it... many times.

Umm, did you noticed, in all 3 of them main character kinda... dies! (well, not in Duelist, not exactly... but it's also a very tricky question: did he or did he not die? O.O) Is something wrong with me? :swt:
Oh, i remembered some more... STAR WARS! Yeah, I'm a fan *-*

Fight Club is without a doubt one of the best films ever made.
I'm also a fan of trilogies: Ocean's, Bourne, Back to the Future, The Godfather (which is obviously the answer to everything).

ngl though, Mean Girls is the most quotable film on the planet and going to a school with girl to boy ratio 110:10... we quote it A LOT. Most frequently the lines:

SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE!
Do you even go to this school?
No. I just have a lot of feelings.

I still need to watch Fight Club :(!!

I heard The King's Speech had no plot line hearsay, but the character development between the male friends was soooo adorable! So I want to watch it that too..

Right. Favourite movies of mine are infinitely V For Vendetta ( I judge it as completely bad-ass, worthy of awwws and sad smiles, with a serious plot on a corruption and what it does to those involved. ), Tangled & Spirited Away ( so cuteeee <3), and there was one more, but I can't remember its name...darn.

Watch it if you can appreciate British humor. If you can't...just don't watch it XD

#31
12 Angry Men, The Station Agent, The Princess Bride, Secondhand Lions, Sleepless in Seattle, the real Pink Panther movies starring Pete Sellers, and the Bourne Trilogy.

12 Angry Men!!! I read the book and I loved Jury Member #8!! Or was he #11? Hmmm.. I'm pretty sure he was 8, but not so sure...How could I forget your number, you lovely detective jury member D:!! Haha, I still know I like #10's line about the old fellow :).

I like British humor, so good deal xd. Oh yes! The one I tried to remember the other day was UP; I'm a total sucker for cute romantic movies as well.

riz-i

I wouldn't say the King's Speech is exactly a prime example of British Humour... for that, you REALLY need to watch The Inbetweeners. Everybody loves it, but all the Americans I know who've seen it say it's too immature  >:(. But seriously, things like these are prime examples of hilarity :')

Of course Spirited Away counts!
How could any anime movie not count? Don't let public opinion shit about how anime's not really film or an art form get you down...!!! *shakes fists angrily ;D*

omg, Spirited Away~
I love how Miyazaki manages to stuff his movies full of hidden meanings and morals. Especially since they're about the environment.
But I gotta say that I like My Neighbor Totoro and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind more than SA.

Howl's Moving Castle was so nice~ (I want his house so bad...)
Actually, any Studio Ghibli movie is beautiful. I have so many memories associated with watching Kiki's Delivery Service... I don't even know where to start 'cuz it just comes rushing at me.  :touched:

I watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time a few months ago. It was very, very nice.  :o_o: Like, really, really nice. The concept was fantastic, the art was adequate, and the plot was interesting.
I definitely recommend it as well.
