Messages - Mister Want

 :touched: Help!

Ah...I was going to go to sleep, but I got distracted and this is the result. This is my drawing for a recruit page, for release for the Anniversary. But I obviously don't know how to make a recruit page, so I'm asking if anyone wants to help me and do it for me. Please?  :swt:

This is what should be in there, with approval from you people:

Transcendence Scans (in giant letters at the top or bottom)

Want to meet some honies? We have a lot! Join Transcendence now and meet all our lovely staff members. They're cute and sweet! [Oh, we have male staff members as well...]

Leechers encouraged to apply (in small print somewhere)

And maybe a thought bubble that says: Gotta keep these honies here forever! (I don't know, since she's sitting/going to sit on the jar's lid)

Add in arrows to point at the black blobs in the jar with labels: TS, Cleaner, PR, Translator, Editor, etc -- not sure it was clear enough that the blobs are the staff member...

And don't forget to add in the Transcendence website, how to contact us and all that jazz.

---

The file is in .psd. I also added the lineart if my coloring is too ugly for you. Feel free to edit any crooked lines or whatever...I know it's horrible. Uneven, unrealistic jar and everything. >_<

The colored page: http://www.mediafire.com/?u1g18i3vie5zwks

Lineart: http://www.mediafire.com/?rlluaelg8cmysjx

And the photobucket link for those of you who just want to see...

Sketches for anniversary recruit page. They're really ugly right now. But I will try hard to use whatever little artistic skill so it'll look nice.

Because of a comment off in the chatbox, I was hoping we could have a party in the chatbox. Last time, we were trying to break the Most Online Record of 92 which we didn't reach. So, I thought we could do it sometime during the week of the anniversary date, if not on it. Even if we don't make it, we'll have lots of fun...mass chaos in the chatbox. =D

Hello and welcome.

Everyone loves those emoticons, though probably the first I've seen someone post ALL of them in their intro post.

If you have any questions, just ask. We don't bite. Or at least I don't bite. I'm more of a licker. (Why does that sounds so bad?) Oh well, yeah. Have fun here.

@ohmysquidmuffins:

You should be really organized or have an good idea what you want to do for each meeting. If not, it might fall apart. When I was in high school, there were a year when lots of clubs form, but none of them lasted. I created a writing club and that didn't lasted either. I guess, it was too free and lacked some coherent form.

Don't be afraid. You can always erase it--though there is a point you can't erase because it's so dark. And you can try using a darker pencil -- like 4B or something. Just try it out.

I like the first one. I like the lines. And I agree with Shinne-chan about the shading. Have you tried going darker than that? And the last one: good body position.
#21
@Lily: Yes, I made it. Crochet.

And thanks for thinking it's cute with that horrible picture.

------

Seeing people talk about drawing makes me want to draw. So, here's two that I did recently (seriously recent, just check the date). I know the proportions and everything is off. But I just wanted to play with some clothes and color schemes. Serious drawing, nope. Random ideas yes. And like always drawn on the back of some stupid school assignment.

Lounge / Re: Eh.. Love.
August 20, 2011, 17:55
I agree with Catriona. You're pretty right about that--"most guys you date CAN work out with you". It's all a matter of how much effort you put in, time and everything.

I think there is one thing important for love, and that is to develop yourself. If you don't develop yourself, you're going to be lost in the relationship. Because if you have nothing to yourself, and all you have is on him--it's not very balanced at all. It's too much pressure on him. But if you have something to yourself, like a hobby or whatever, it helps. Because you don't always need to be with him. Though love is strange, and you do want to be with the person you like a lot. I'm not explaining this very well. But I think it's important for both person in the relationship to have  a "self".

Anyway, as for myself, I've only had one relationship (2 months). That was back in my junior year. I had the Asian parents as well that goes, you shouldn't date till college. Well, needless to say, I really liked this guy so we dated in secret from our parents. But I felt guilty, so I eventually confessed to my mom. My mom didn't like that, so I broke up with him. I still feel a bit guilty about it though because he never got a proper explanation on why, and I didn't break up with him because I didn't like him. Utter failure.  :crywithno:

I get some of the rules, but I don't get others. I mean, lying? It's not right if you follow it strictly. But lying is okay sometimes, I think. Depending (like, no honey, you don't look fat~).

And I think someone should move this to lounge or something. It's not really "fanfiction", not to mention anyone can see this since the fanfiction section isn't restricted to registered users only.

Anyway, *hugs*. Because hugs are great, even if they're internet ones. One of my teachers used to say that everyone should get a three hugs a day at least.

Guidelines / Re: Guideline: Proofreader
June 30, 2011, 17:11
A little late--

I agree. That proofreaders and translators should work together, and that the translator should at least trust the proofreader. As for the contraction issue, I think it depends on the series--when it takes place in time. That's when it's more important. Or if you were translating based on character personality. For example, characters who are the trouble kids or what not would probably use contractions more versus children raised in a highly formal household that almost goes back to the victorian era. Though, I expect the translator will note that.

Like Ryu said, I'm both surprised and happy that you trusted the Transcendence staff to tell us this. And suicide isn't the best solution. I think it's great that you're writing about this--because not talking about it, keeping silent is probably one of the worse things you can do. After all, if you're quiet--no one will know what you think, feel and such.

I don't know if it would work, but have you ever tried sitting down with your mother and just having a serious conversation? I think, parents as much as they try, they do miss things. So, what your mother sees is probably different from yours. She can't see everything, all the sides. Also, is your mom under  any stress? I know my mom when she is under stress, she finds fault with the things I do. I usually just stay quiet, do the chores or things I'm supposed to do (out of her way if I can help it) until she calms down or relaxes. Times like those, I try not to take it personally. But, I understand it might not be the same for you and your mother. I do advocate trying to have a deep serious conversation if you can with your mother, if only to clear things up. And in any case, it's one thing to try.

As for your brother hitting you--how old is he in relation to you? And how bad is the hitting? Because...it could end up much more abuse, enough to raise issues legally.

And yes, relieve your emotions. Bottling up does no good for the soul. Smash a pillow, write in a journal, listen to some damn heavy screaming metal. (I myself actually cracked a mirror once because I was so angry. >_<)

And continue to post here. We're always here to listen. And if you don't feel comfortable posting certain things, PM or email people here that you really trust and just get it all out.  You already have Renny and Ryu here as volunteers (as well as myself).

Thank you!

Yes, I know what you're talking about. I just find it hard to access my "head voice" since I'm so used to using my "chest voice". I honestly hope I don't kill my vocal cords.

I tried what you said about singing "down" though it was hard to imagine. I was able to hit the D key after the C octave though it's not consistent. As for the arpeggios, I have done those exercises before, but I guess I just freak out on the high notes.

Thanks for the help! =D

I'm pretty sure that there were some of you that sing in here...or at the very least may know because of playing an instrument. Anyway, I'm taking this vocal class. I normally sing in a lower register. My professor asked me to sing in a higher register, to try it out and for a challenge. Well, it's a challenge all right. It's a bit difficult for me to reach the higher notes. So, I was wondering if anyone had any tip on how to extend my range a little bit or steps I could take to expand it some more. Just so you know, right now, I can reach up to the C above middle C--the octave. I need to reach four more keys up to F. Thanks.

Okay, remember the drawing I was working on?

Well, I give up. (That and I'm too lazy and unmotivated to try and fix/finish it.)

So, here's the final draft of it. The draft that I scanned in to be colored and redraw the lines (like fix the face that was decent till my shaking hand killed it, the uneven and probably wrong background--I was going to draw a fence/rail so it'll be more balcony like--and well, you get the idea...) I thought I'll post this before I get swamped with school.

Dreams like those are not fun.

Last night, I dreamt that I was with a classmate. She has a female ghost in her twenties with her. The ghost gave me a warning because something bad will happen to me. So, you better be careful. There was a tingling sensation in my hands and feet. I had a thought that I'll lost a pinky and a big toe. Then, I went into this hotel/restaurant. My classmate had already left. And the ghost said goodbye to me, again telling me to be careful, and that she was going back to the other world. Inside this hotel/restaurant, there was this man who was throwing this ice block, all rounded and smooth. He threw one into the crowd, and it landed very close to me. I had to literally jump out of the way. And I thought, ah, the ghost is right. I need to be careful. So, I moved out of the way. The man threw another ice block. It was also so close to me that I had to jump out of the way. Then, I woke up scared, and I couldn't go back to sleep.

You want me? To write the history of transcendence? I think that'll somehow go all wrong. Probably something like:

As the unofficial appointed Transcendence Historian by icewing, I, Mister Want, shall somehow explain the great and grand history of Transcendence Scans even though I did not exist yet. (Forgive me for stating that I'm now only several months old.) Transcendence began with the honorable, wonderful, awesome Xye who is happily married to Gackt...

....And thus end that piece of history of how Transcendence rose in prominence. Now, moving on to the great love stories of Transcendence. There is one that is currently taking place, that'll leave you all sighing at the romance of it. Yes, that's right! I'm writing about the epic courtship between Werr and Catriona...

....As for the next part in this long tale, I'll be making it up. Because, I wasn't there. And since I'm writing, I claim artistic liberties...

I've heard about it. It's kind of impossible to ignore big events like that on Yahoo. >_<

Personally, I don't enjoy politics, and I find it all confusing. I do try and have a general idea of what's going on though I still end up kind of ignorant. To be fair, I did try. But the news got too depressing to read everyday, so yeah...

I think it's admirable to want to be a "superhero". Who doesn't? But the way I see it, even if you can't do big events like that...you can do small events which add up. Simple things are simple. And they go a long way. So, just helping someone pick up a book he dropped or something--I think even that helps. Or lending an ear to a friend. Because you never know who that someone might be. A single action, a single change. Eh, maybe that's a bit too idealistic. .__.

I have a few friends that are gay. But, at times, they really act like the stereotypical gay. >_<

Anyway, I don't mind yaoi. But, I do think that there's a line that shouldn't be crossed. For example, I know there are a quite a number of bands out there with really hot guys, and the fans can't help but write yaoi/BL fanfic about them (even though they're not). I'm not saying that you can't write it. I mean, seriously, when you're a celebrity, you kind of put yourself out there. But, I know there are some people who actually go overboard obsessive and think those band members are actually gay. And write them letters about that. That's the line I say not to cross.

Other than that, *shrugs*. We humans seem to have a fascination with this same sex attraction.

I had a really freaky dream that I didn't like. Warning: slightly graphic

Somehow I had a cut on my chest. So, I was just wiping away the blood. Then, somehow it became a bigger hole. I got really creeped out. So, I was poking out it and seeing pus come out. I kept wiping it, hoping that there wouldn't be anymore because you know it would be bad---sign of big infection, right? Then, somehow I could feel that there was this long weird thing in my body. What did you know? I pulled out a long orange carrot from the hole which got even bigger at this point covered in blood. I feel squick out now. >_<

Hello.

Welcome to the forums.

I also like Miyazaki's work. I just watched Ponyo a few weeks ago. Anyway, enjoy your stay on the forums. =D

Eat dark chocolate. It's supposed to help with headaches.

Too lazy to write out my dream...it's too long.

And icewing--only write down the dreams if you have time. We have busy lives. >_< If you're at least trying to remember it, I think that helps anyway.

Hello.

Welcome to the forums.

Oo, you draw? How about posting up some in the graphic sections if you're not too shy about your artwork. I'll like to see them. Good luck with your training.

O_O Yeah. That's what I thought too.

On another note, I think I've got to get myself some sleeping pills or something to knock me out. I think I remember my dream way too much. I had three last night and I still remember most of what happened. I also remember someone telling me that dreaming too much can be a bad thing.  *dead

Yes. Fuzzy. O_O

But in any case, we'll just sit and see what happens for now regarding this entire issue.
