Transcendence

To those who find it hard to watch CLANNAD because of the art... You are just missing out on something full of awesomeness. At first I was reluctant to watch it due to the art but then I had some free time so I decided to check it out. The only thing I regret is that I didn't watch it earlier... It's just GOOD nuf said.

There's new anime coming out every season so "the best" is short off a contradicting question. The anime that left me a great impression are Clannad, Spice and Wolf, Madoka Magica, AnoHana and Drrr as well as Kanon were also really interesting. (Orders are random, not my preference)

You should try adding watermarks on your art before posting them on the internet. This somehow prevent people to take them and claiming them. My friend on Deviant Art used to not watermark her works and they ended up being used by some Russian company that made money out of them by printing them on some products to sell. So you really should be careful too!

Lmao, it's not like I post my pictures, address, phone number, etc. on Twitter. It's just for fun anyway since I usually use it to rant about my life or post random stuff. Also Twitter is so limited too. You can't even do shit on it XD (no offense to people who love Twitter). Like that letter limit that always stops me from writing paragraphs annoys the heck out of me.

A month ago I made a Twitter account on the demand of my friend. Don't get me wrong, I usually don't do something just because someone asked me to do so. XD At first I thought I could custom code my Twitter or something but realized that I couldn't after I made the account. So now I am stuck with a plain Twitter account that I plan to decorate later on.

Well since my Twitter is pretty empty, I was wondering if any of you have one too so I can follow you or something just for fun. Or you can also stalk me just for fun too. :D

I know that some leechers might not have a well functioning brain or the conscience to understand the workload we have to do in order to release. But given that we are indeed a Scanlation Group... those kind of comment are expected. No one enjoys them and you can't help it because somewhere on the internet there will always be an idiot out of 3 people. All we can do is basically ignore those comments since they are literally useless and a waste of time and energy to read. Plus getting annoyed by those kind of people is not worth it. Just let them cry until they dry out and die. :D

LOL all I know is that the neighbour living around the same area as Osama was just twitting it live. Now that we all know his dead...There's only one thing that bothers me. Who is the soldier that shot him~? I want to know! How does he feel for killing the world's most wanted terrorist? :D

My English teacher was saying how it sounds like those movie where they send the top soldiers of the entire army to carry out an operation. Those guys just get in and kills everybody without getting hit. XD

Did you all know that this actual event will be recorded in every single history textbook that will be published and used in schools? We usually don't think about those things but they are all recorded and passed down to generations and generations. /rolls around

Luckily I am not allergic to anything. I have to admit that I was actually surprise when I came to Canada because a lot of the kids at my school were allergic to something. This was really rare when I was in China. Not to mention that I didn't even know that people could be allergic to things until I came to Canada. XD

Madoka is also on the top of my list! It was so good~ xD The ending was awesome too in my opinion. Only the art look kiddy to me at first but the way how the first episode started in a world falling apart made me think "Dang this is pretty dark huh~?"

Yeah I have to agree that Clannad's art is not the best but the story balance it off. Plus after some episodes you will get used to that art and will begin to mind it less. The art also kept me away from consider watching it but after some friends recommendation I started to watch it and it was worth it!

For me it has to be Clannad season one and two! I just love the story a lot. It's the anime that is responsible for buckets of my mainly tears XD even thought it is sad, there are a lot of funny and touching scenes to give a break for your eyes. That anime really made me see the world in a different way and even now I still remember how red my eyes were when I watched the last ten episode in one night (2nd season). It was great!

Lmao, so...anyone want to give it a try? It seems that we need to form small groups enough to cover all the task which are translating, cleaning/typesetting and proofreading (aka editor for them). :D

Tests doesn't seem too hard since we are basically all used to them anyway. xD

To be honest I don't even think its the fault of scanlation. First of all its their own fault for not bringing in more variety of manga outside of Japan. They only stick to mainstream or manga that no one really pays attention to. Why couldn't they just arrange something with Japanese publishers to begin brining out more variety of manga like the ones scanlation does? It might sound selfish but I think its their own fault for not trying hard enough to get profit. I mean I would buy a manga in a store if I really liked the series even though I read it online. I like having hard copies anyway. BUT sadly the stores have nothing of what I like. They can't blame people for not buying things when there's nothing GOOD to buy. People can also buy online but more than half the series we want are untranslated. So buying them has no meaning. I mean why would you buy something that you can't read or understand unless you follow translated scans online while looking at your book at the same time.

That's just in my opinion...

I was just wondering if any of you happen to have or know a good converter that can convert AVI files into iPhone 4 files? Preferably free (no trials)... I want to convert into the 480p but I just can't find the right converter. =[

Also, it would be better if it was a MKV format to iPhone 4 that is able to also convert subtitles of anime with it.

Hmm... I recently found out that I hate people who takes all the time in the world. >.> By this I mean for example the school bell ran. I have to go to my classes but NOOOOO these people just walk like snails taking the whole place! With all the traffic in the hallway during breaks it's like sajfhjkrgkfjshklkhkl;l;

I also hate stairs campers! They just sit on the stairs and doesn't move a bit when you come and try to go up the stairs.

Well in my school, everyone usually hates the freshmen (aka niners). It has become a tradition ^^ and yes I do hate them too. Especially the immature ones that yell during lunch time (good thing I don't have lunch with the niners anymore). But I do know a few cool niners but they are the only ones that I can accept. -.-

So they already voted for the law...it will be affective starting 2011. Basically this law is stating that all manga, anime and games that contains: Violence, Sex, Crime, Homosexuality, etc. will be a crime to own, sell or create. Many great publishing and producing companies will go bye bye. >.>

Seriously...what will there be to read/watch/play in manga/anime/game if there is no action or any interesting fiction (or non-fiction) based theme? The world is going to be so boring. Well at least...other countries can still make what they want but we all know that some good badass stuff are all from Japan. ;_;

Personally...I find Index annoying. Not a big fan of her. Reason why I prefer Railgun over the main story seasons...

Do you live in the U.S.? Well, I live in Canada and I go to a school with a population of 80% Asian students. Because of so much Asian students, we are in the top 5 public high school in all Ontario (Last time I heard from my mom). There are competition everywhere you go. Well I know that most of my friends are just going to stay in Canada and finish their education here. University of Toronto is quite top ranked in Canada so yeah. I didn't even bother to take SAT since I know I won't be going to U.S. for study. XD

Anyway I am just saying that I hate it when people act that way. It's just rude for the other that really DID fail or really DID bad as in lower than 80 or basically 60-ish since failing at my school is 50% (the real number...untouched by Asian modification). My friend did really bad on her French test and another friend got fairly a high 80%. She was saying all the "omg this is so bad, I am failing French." for the whole class. My other friend who got low mark told me how the other friend is trying to insult her indirectly.

I personally don't even tell my mark to others. It's my mark and they don't need to know it. Who cares if I get a high or low mark (my parents and I are the only ones that care)? It's not like they will have get any benefits for knowing my mark (unless they want to feel victorious just for having beat me to it or feeling defeated when they didn't beat me).

Whatever, lol my friend and I were just talking about it after school when this certain girl ran over to complain about how she won't get into ANY university with her 90%s. You know what? Too bad for her, she should just give up in education since she can't even get into a university with such high average in pocket. =[

I am Asian too so I know how it is like. And no she doesn't mean her parents will kill her. She yells at her mom 24h/7d so why be scared? Like I said, I know people have their own standard they want to meet but you don't have to be like "OMG I AM FAILING!!!" when you are not even close to that. People around you will find it very vexing and will dislike you without you knowing it. Asian failing doesn't necessarily mean failing the course. I would add that you are pretty far from failing it. At least if you find your mark bad, don't yell it out loud for the world to hear. -.-

Yeah I am here... we are currently deciding on a valid meeting day because it seems that there are way too many clubs meeting after school (including music rehearsals) so people are not always available. Lunch time is impossible because all the grades have different lunch times. Grade 11 and 12's lunch times can be anywhere from first period to last period. And YES I know a few people who have first period Lunch so they basically sleep in (lucky them) and some people who have last period Lunch so they can go home earlier. XD

We are thinking of having a meeting next week so we can ask people which day they prefer... I am also going to make a forum for the club so people can vote for meeting days and just hang out there when they are bored of homework.

Ok...so I have a friend but she's the kind of person I hate the most (Does that even make sense? LOL).

So we have marks update at my school. She is basically those kids who always say:
"Omg I am so going to fail [insert course here]! I don't even get all that stuff." and the night before a test "OMG!!! I am soooooooo screwed I don't get it!"

When she gets her mark for the test and find out that she scored a 91% on it. Guess what she says? "Omg this is so bad... I am going to fail this course!" -_-

Seriously...SERIOUSLY!!!! DOES IT LOOK LIKE SHE'S GOING TO FAIL THAT COURSE? OH YEAH! Of course she will fail with a 91%, that's a given! Man I am currently so pissed. Not because she gets high mark but because she constantly say she is going to fail. Like think about the people who are having a waaaaay lower mark! That's not something they want to hear from a student who got 91% on a test. >.>

I swear I am not even going to help her on Chemistry. She always spam me with like billions of questions and says she doesn't get it but then get high marks... like wtf? I just hate those people who are like "Omg I just got a 84% I am doing so bad!" Ok, I can understand that everyone have different goal but a 80% and above means you are right on track and will get better. You can't possibly FAIL a course with a 80% unless you are just going to slack off and get low 65%s... -.-

Oh yeah, I also dislike people that are unsatisfied until they get like a 99% or 100%. Because God forbid, 98% is a bad mark.

Ok...so the problem is here again. We are a beginner club so what are good things to do with a club that just started not long ago? All my members are losing their motivation for the club and closing down is the last thing on Earth I want to do. SO except watching and discussing about different manga and anime...what can an anime club possibly do in their club room. People has offering to draw. Well, good idea but hey, not everyone can draw! Some people likes anime but it doesn't mean they like to draw or can draw it.

So really...I need something desperately that will reanimate the motivation of my current members AND get new members as well.

Seriously, I have never being so lost and discourage over something like that for a while. It's just sad to have nothing to do in the club and hearing everyone say "well this is surely boring."

Oh one last thing. This is for a high school. Universities and College have waaaaaaay more possibilities so please make it possible for a high school anime club!

Can't agree with you more than that! Spice and Wolf is AMAZING! It made it to my top 5 favorite Anime all times~ The story line is so good that I can't even explain it to my friends in real life without boring them out...

It is still unannounced nor have proof for a third season but if you ask me, yes there will be one for sure! The story is faaaaar from ending (in the anime that is). I read somewhere that they are publishing or published the last light novel so yeah!

This anime was definitely one of the best I have ever seen! I laughed and even cried for it!!!!! Clannad ~ After Story ~ is basically the only anime where a guy can cry without feeling ashamed! XD IT WAS AWESOME!

Currently I am watching AIR since it's by the same people...and I have to say that AIR is boring the heck out of me. lol I understand why one of my friend watched the first episode and dropped it. I should have done the same but I don't feel like dropping something when I already started watching. So yeah I hope to finish AIR soon because it's really boring, compared to Clannad it's not even something to be sad about. I hope that Kanon (2006) will be better.

Yeah the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku sings Black Rock Shooter. The PV and song was very popular when it came out that's why they decided to make a show out of it. First they decided to make a 12 episodes anime then reduced it to 6 episodes and finally decided to just make it a 52 minutes OVA. >.>

I recently started watching it! I finished the first season and I am watching After Story right now... hm... at episode 15 right now. It has comedy, drama, romance and a little bit of slice of life. XD

So far so good, I love it! :D

The trailer was misleading in the first place and attracted the wrong audience lol.

BRS' summary on its official website kind of told us that the story will be based around friendship and not fighting all the time. I wouldn't base on the fanarts either since they are fanarts. Fans draw what they want to see and that is BRS not Mato Kuroi. LOL

Xye please add this point under... Typesetting:

1- Make sure all texts are set at "Smooth".
Reason: I read a lot of chapters where the text looked horrible and it burns your eyes like-... >.> Also QCers just let that go too!?

2- Make sure all texts layers are above the leveling layers.
Reason: Some chapters had texts that looked over-leveled and it's even worse than not setting it at smooth.

I can understand that some people might not be experienced at typesetting or qc-ing but when you see texts that burns your eyes, you don't just go and ignore it thinking that nothing is wrong. There is a reason why some texts look smoother than others.

Something to take notes of:

Please set your text to "smooth" because it kills people's eyes when they are set as strong, etc. I have read many releases where the words are not set as smooth and I seriously have no clue what the QCer was doing.

Also before saving to PNG format make sure that your text layers are all above the leveling layers. Why? Well because they affect the texts too! In some of the chapters the words look over-leveled (kills the eyes). Again I have no idea what the QCer was doing.

Typesetting might seems easy but if you don't pay attention you will make those silly annoying mistakes. >.>
I had to give out my opinion because it's not just 1, 2, 3 or 4 but around 10 or more chapters like that.

My Dragon Knight is 102 and I also have an Aran who is 56. I kinda quited but if I ever play MS again, I'll probably level up my Aran because it's so much fun (you get to do combos so it's like a little bit different).
