I attached a sample translation of mine. I don't even specify who says what. If it gets confusing, the typesetter will just ask me (but so far nobody EVER did, so I guess it works fine). The only thing I use is:
wordwordword for speech bubble
[wordwordword] for thought bubble

Oh and label the general boxes. That would be VERY helpful

If you want to be a Chinese translator, I can be your backup person [meaning, I correct your translation as a translator before the PR sees it. Nobody is going bald xD].

I saw some awful translations in the past 2 years, and I worked as proofreader and quality checker lol. If you want, you can try translating after you pass editing test. We need many translators haha~

I like your first and second one the best. I think that you have incorporated wonderful ideas into your drawings, probably by adding a caption you would capture the viewers' minds. I only had 1 that lasted 8 months. I suppose the usual relationship has rises and falls, eventually things don't work out any more and break up happens. For me, I broke up with him and it was bad. Now he is dating my ex-best friend, but I have no objections [screw those idiotic traditions]. It was hard for me to accept this reality at first, got depressed and messed up second half of junior year [BIG MISTAKE! But hey, I didn't fail that badly ;)]

So... treasure the time you have with a kind boy, and don't be a whiny brat like those manga girls. That was my mistake, I suppose. Also, there is no fantasy or romance you see in manga or movies. Maybe at first, but eventually it is just the comfortable zone. Lastly, DRAMA QUEEN is a big no no. He can't comfort and be with you all the time, so remember to be independent and stay away from him sometimes too.

1. Are there bully?
High school children are usually more mature than middle school children. Calm down. Relax. Just don't flaunt yourself too much in the beginning and be nice. You will be fine! And be confident!!!! I am sure you will find a group of close friends, but don't do drugs or have sex or be very mean. [even though I don't think you will] As for boyfriend, wait till sophomore year at earliest because you should get familiar with high school. Oh, and WORK HARD!!! Do remember your future college!

2. Are there a lot of homework?
Depends on your high school. I went to a highly competitive one in New York and ya it is a lot of work, but not impossible. Certainly work hard though and go to a good college.

3. Is high school hard?
It's not hard if you don't procrastinate and if you keep a positive attitude and healthy body. Don't stress out man. Think about it, why would there be college if high school is impossible?

4. Do freshmen get pick on?
Usually not, unless you are really really annoying and attract a lot of attention. Make some friends from a year or two higher than you [older nice/smart guys... <3 but don't fall in love]. They give you valuable information and can help you from time to time.

5. Will I get lost?
No. Only on the first two days xD

6. Are the subjects hard?
there are regular, honors, and ap classes. you should speak with people who took them and decide on whether you should or not, though I suggest you to do as much as you can handle. Certainly make good relationships with teachers, as they will give you better grades, but don't suck up because they won't like that. Just work hard and show interest and they will love you!

7. Will there be bad rumors?
Not likely. High school people are usually too busy to notice you if you don't spread rumors or do REALLY BAD THINGS.

8. etc..
Don't just follow the crowd and go against your morals. It is important to not be totally isolated, but don't misbehave :)

High School people are more mature, so relax~

I mean, it is kind of a stretch for that case. Probably a debatable issue.

And it is just "is", which can be easily written out and spoken uncontracted.

Oh and by crazy amount of changes, I mean when everything is changed. Like, you open a document and see every sentence colored and revised by a PR, most of which are style changes and not grammar changes or usage changes.

POSSESSIVE and CONTRACTION are different. The follow two sentences are NOT equivalent in conventional English.
1) Maria is in love.
2) Maria's in love.

The second one indicates a possessive noun. If it is confusing, you probably should leave it not contracted or ask the translator.

And even though we try to make it as colloquial as possible, changing everything into contraction could really anger a translator who spends hours and hours translating. If anything, VERB TENSE is the most common mistakes in Asian --> English translations.

It is a great tradition of the U.S. to go to war with other nations for barely any justified reasons except to enrich themselves. The U.S. has removed many national leaders in coups because the U.S. doesn't like them. (Iran, Guatemala, Iraq, attempts in Cuba, and other places I can't remember >_>)

If we get paid for this sort of work, we might get into legal troubles for copyright issues (at least in US). Just because it tells you there is no legal worries, this still violate the law unless they purchase copyright (which is very expensive and very fishy)

Also they want your credit card information and personal information.

Q. Can I translate from English to another language?
A. Unfortunately, no. We want to keep the translation as pure as possible, so we are only looking for Japanese to "x-language" translators.
