Hey Madii,

I'm Boo and I too, am a cleaner  :noway:

I think its cool you can play the  piano, my only piano experience is 'twinkle twinkle little star'  :touched:

I bet learning Japanese is crazy hard. I reckon speaking it would be fun, but the hiragana and katakana (and kanji) would do my head in, so well done!

See you around the forums  :cheer:

Oh I am looking forward to this!

Just spent a semester studying Japanese History, and the end of the Sengoku/beginning of Tokugawa period was my favourite. And Oda Nobunaga is one of my favourite Japanese historical figures :) :) :)

To be honest I really didn't like the end of Vampire Knight for this reason. it was like "shit, I'm meant to end it this chapter, how do i quickly sum up all the character plots in the worst way possible"

Haha dont worry, friendship scans are only up to about chapter 60ish (unless you can read the raws)

I'm curious as to how one can create 60 volumes of shoujo plots

Manga / Manga with terrible endings
November 13, 2015, 04:40
I saw the thread on mangas with good endings and thought we should discuss those with terrible endings.

I have finished 2 series in the last week that had terrible endings:
Junai Labyrinth
Kakan no Madonna

Especially that second one
At the end when that dude who we haven't seen for the last 10 chapters dies and that somehow ties everything into a neat little bow
I forgot about this one: Ouke no Monshou https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=2836

"The main character is Carol, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed American teenager from a wealthy family with an interest in Egyptology studying in Cairo. When her mentor discovers the tomb of a young pharaoh, a curse is put on the excavation team and Carol. The curse sends her back in time to ancient Egypt, where she becomes embroiled in the affairs of Egypt and other ancient countries such as Assyria and Babylonia. Carol meets Memphis, a handsome young pharaoh whose tomb she excavated in modern times. Despite his headstrong, at first violent nature, they fall deeply in love. This angers Memphis's half-sister, the Priestess Isis, who has longed to marry him. Carol, due to her exotic looks and curious ability to tell the future, becomes a major player in ancient history."

Started in 1976, still ongoing and 60 volumes deep...

Yes, Glass Mask still going, 49 volumes and counting, although its been 2 years since anything was released in Japan, it is still ongoing (something about indefinite break)

Suzue Miuchi is one of those mangaka's who kind of writes and releases chapters when she feels like it, but when you have an ongoing series of 39 years, i think you can do whatever you want. It is going to end "soon", but she said that in like...2009

I haven't read Time Stranger Kyoko yet, should put it on my list. Not exactly a time travel manga but its so old and ongoing Glass Mask would nearly count? Love that 70s art

I nearly passed on TCP because the first chapter took soooo long to read, but after the first volume I was hooked. 7 seeds is a surprisingly accurate tale about the future of the world (at least what I think will happen anyway, same author as Basara, why I started reading it)

I also missed your comment about Arina Tanemura. Full Moon o Sagashite is amazing! Still getting through Sakurahime

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! :touched:

Anatolia Story and Basara are two of my favourites! I like futuristic settings like Crazy Tokyo Paradise or 7 seeds too! (if you havent caught on I looooooove long series). And I am also quite sad its been close to two years since a chapter of Amakusa 1637 came out. I just spent a uni semester studying that shizz
