Here's a good one. So I went out on my front porch for my morning cigarette, and somehow locked the front door behind me. So there I am, barefoot, in my yoga capris and tank top. Thank goodness, I leave my bedroom window open when I'm at home. So I went around the side of the house, and had to pull myself up and inside through there. Also thank goodness, this is on the side of the house, so I don't think anyone from the street could see, but I'm pretty sure I gave my neighbor a great view of my butt as I squirmed over the window pane.  :shy: I'm pretty sure I'm establishing a strong reputation of strange in the neighborhood...

They're both pound pooches (*wanna save them all*). Emma looks like she's half German Shepherd, half Golden Retriever, Elly looks like she's part Schnauzer, part...wombat? Muppet dog. LOL They're the best pets to have! If you ever decide to get one, though, do your research ahead of time on temperament and such. You should really pick a dog based on how much attention they require and how much energy they have, and how much attention you can give and the amount of energy you can handle.

We have a Daily D'awww, I though a Daily D'oh might be in order. I'll go first. Today's Daily D'oh! moment consisted of stumbling into the bathroom half asleep and squirting Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste.  :blur: FYI, for those who were curious, does not taste as good as it smells. In my defense, when three-quarters asleep, the squeeze bottles look the same. Suffice it to say, I have moved the lotion to another location on the bathroom sink.

Lounge / Re: WTF Thread
September 26, 2013, 09:09
I went to the local bookstore for the first time yesterday, to buy my bi-weekly allowance of manga (I have to do this to myself, or I'd be forever broke), and I was a little confused by what I saw. Either Enid has some demographics that I was unaware of, or whoever is in charge of purchasing has a method I don't understand. First, they had NO Blue Exorcist (which was what I wanted), no D.Gray-Man (second choice), and no Cage of Eden (third choice). So automatically I was a little put out, but decided to make the best of it and look over what they did have. There was Death Note, and DBZ, and a couple of volumes of Rurouni Kenshin. Then there were some series I had never even heard of, a few that definitely looked like something I'll have to check out. And then, I had my WTF moment. Now mind you, they've put the manga in the young teen section, and I've already been scratching my head at the T+ and A ratings on some of the books on offer, when all of a sudden I realize - they have volumes of June on sale but no ONE PIECE?!?!?! That's one of the top three!! WTF?!?!?! Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against June, and god knows I love yaoi (which is what the particular volume of June I was looking at was), but my mind couldn't quite wrap around the whole situation. So I stood in the aisle of the Young Teen section with a volume of June yaoi in my hands, staring at the bookshelves for a good minute with this look on my face ->  :e0765523: Then I bought a volume of Bakuman. That is all.

Forum Games / Otaku Alphabet Shopping
September 26, 2013, 08:54
So when me and my sisters were little, and went on long car trips (which happened a lot), we used to play this alphabet shopping game, where each person had to come up with an item that started with the descending letters of the alphabet, while listing the ones that came previously. Such as:

Player 1: I went to the store and bought apples.
Player 2: I went to the store and bought apples and bananas.
Player 3: I went to the store and bought apples, bananas, and cauliflower.
So on and so forth.

Now, I figured this would be rather easy to do on here because of the *ahem* copy-and-paste ability, so I thought I would give it a nice otaku twist to get your brain working and get some good manga/anime names out there. So: in descending alphabetical order, each person will name a manga or anime rather than a food item. I'll start:

I went to Comiket and bought Ao no Exorcist.

Manga / Re: Favorite manga characters! >:]
September 22, 2013, 11:55
Ohhh...this is a hard one! The list changes every day, so here's today:

Colonel Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist) - That scene where he burns his own wound shut and shows up all bloody and roughed up, clothes torn, to lay the smack down on Lust? Instant nosebleed moment.

Solf J. Kimblee (Fullmetal Alchemist) - sometimes crazy is just so sexy. Plus...he redeems himself. Mmm...bad guy turned good.

Lin Yao (Fullmetal Alchemist) - oddly enough, I like him better AFTER his transformation into Greed...

Byakuya Kuchiki (Bleach) - What can I say? Bishonen + sword + hint of smoldering passion under cool exterior = irresistible combination...

Yu Kanda (D.Gray-Man) - Same reason as above.

Sesshomaru (InuYasha) - Yeah, same reason as above.

Shuhei Hisagi (Bleach) - Kazeshini is probably one of my favorite Zanpakuto, and Shuhei is just bad-ass. Love the voice, too!

Rin Okumura (Ao no Exorcist) - He just tries so hard to do the best he can! He has pure passion.

Shimada Kambei and Okamoto Katsushiro (Samurai 7) - I like all the samurai, but these two are my favorites.

Shizuo Heiwajima (Durarara) - the bartender uniform looks fantastic on him...love a man in a well fitting suit? Anyway, he's got that tough but damaged thing that's either really attractive or really annoying. In this case? Definitely the former.

Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler) - oh, he's just so BAD...

I could go on all day. Though, looking back I realize I didn't list any female characters. Hmmm...I'll have to think about that one. I do have to say that I really like the way that Misao Harada from Black Bird is drawn. She seems more genuine and unique than many female characters.

Anime / Re: . : + ANIME RECOMMENDATIONS + : .
September 21, 2013, 12:28
Actually, a yaoi anime called Junjou Romantica. I stumbled across it quite by accident. There's nothing about it that is especially awesome, but at the same time there's something about it that makes it kind of addicting. I blew through the first season in two days. It would have been shorter, but I had to sleep sometime.

Misaki is suddenly having some unexpected and odd problems. What started as a need for some college entrance exam tutoring has somehow led him to being romanced by a suave older man who also happens to be his big brother's best friend. Confused by all of his brand new emotions, Misaki struggles to deal with his suddenly very odd life. And if that wasn't enough, his suitor, Usami, has plenty of issues of his own. A man-child who decorates his room in giant teddy bears and toys, Usami is a famous novelist who also writes steamy boys' love novels on the side. When Misaki cracks open one of these books and reads sentences like "Misaki licks every inch of Usami's hot body"...well, let's just say that all hell breaks loose.

Don't get me wrong, I love Naruto and One Piece, but there's just something about Bleach that makes it one of my favorites. It might have something to do with one of my personal mottos: Love a man with a sword. The only thing better than a man with a sword is a bishonen with a sword. The only thing better than a bishonen with a sword is a bishonen with two swords. *swoon*  :o_o: Plus, some of the fight scenes are fracking awesome.
