Don't get me wrong, I love my sibs as much as the next person, but sometimes I just want to strangle them!! >:( I know all of us with siblings feel this way, so here is the place to let it all out. Tell the story of his latest snide remark or her trespassing...we can all take your side and make you feel better! ;)
Here, I'll even start us off:
Siblings always ask to borrow things; it's part of life. I am generally pretty good about it, but my brother always ends up putting his foot in his mouth [actually, I wish he would; then he couldn't say anything!] and gets the answer he doesn't want. For example: he asks to borrow something, and I tell him that I'd rather he didn't. At this point, the smart thing to do would be to shut up, but no one ever accused my brother of being smart, so he keeps pleading his case. Eventually, I get fed up and give him an outright 'no,' and...let's just say hell breaking loose would be prettier... Seriously, if he'd shut up in the first place, I may have given in, but now there's no way I'm saying yes! Ring a bell with anyone?
It's as simple as that! Oh, and typing in caps is allowed...just use it in moderation, please ;)
Yeah, my brother asks to borrow my stuff all the time, and he's really persistent. He can ask again and again for over a week, by which time I have no sanity left. And, you know those promises your younger siblings make, like 'I won't go into your room' or 'I won't distract you when your friend comes over to do schoolwork'? He breaks them every single time, and i can't do anything about it! My mum just says he's still young and he'll grow out of it and stuff like that, but it's one of those 'I want to strangle you so bad!' moments.
I'm the youngest so I'm usually the one who gets away with everything, so I'm lucky in that sense. 8D And my older brother is hardly at home 'cos his university course is pretty demanding so...yeah. But when he is at home, he has annoying habits that don't ever ever change - even if my mother steps in. And being the older sibling, for some reason (this always seems to happen for everyone) he likes to tease me unnecessarily. I tend to ignore him but if I'm in a bad mood that day I'll snap at him and then he'll say I'm weird. But methinks instead he's truly the weird one for always doing the same thing to annoy me. >__>"
Oh. :( I'm an only child, meaning... dun hav any siblings
at all. But I really wish to have 'oppa' (big bro/ older brother
in korean)
that's just how sibiling are =w=
xD i have 2 sisters, and i am the older one, no fun when they start behaving like brats D:
but i get along with them pretty well, a bit thankful to anime cause one of my younger sisters loves it xD yay~
i used to argue with them all the time, cause they were always following me around like ducklings, that really gets in my nerves, and also having them peeking at everything i write, draw or whathever i do >.<
I hate my older brother  I want to strangle him here and there. He knows I'm very short tempered so he always annoys me>.< and that's not all, he's the oldest but he acts as if he's the youngest. He's a graduate student but all he does is sleep, eat, watch spongebob, play dota, play cabal, eat, sleep, use MY pc everyday for 10 HOURS so I can't use it, hide HIS laptop so I can't use it when he's using MY pc, and act stupid. I keep telling him to get a job coz he's so useless that when he's 40, he'll still depend on our parents -and that's the truth- but gosh! He doesn't give a damn on what I tell him. The moron has never even considered getting a job >_< He's so stupid stupid stupid. Even my parents are getting tired of him, I won't be surprised if one these days, they'll disown him. ~and yes, I will be fine that.
I am a single child too... but one of my friend is the youngest of her family. She has like 4 brothers? O.o" and she always let out her anger on me! Or maybe sometimes she would simple complain to me and all I can do is agreeing "yes vivian... yes I understand... Yeah I know... Yup it sucks to be the youngest." X.x
I think it doesn't matter whether you're the youngest, middle, oldest, or only child; each has its pros and cons that we have to deal with...

Words of the wise. ;D So true.
I used to have a lot of problems with my older brother (all the bullying and what-not) but then it was like he suddenly grew up and poof! He matured.
Now it's my little sister I have to deal with. >:(
aww.. I always wanted a big brother TT__TT (and he better be handsome =.=;) *is single child*

LOL you make it sound like magic. XD
But sometimes it's different...as in I recall my friend describing her brother as very caring and protective over her (and insert the handsome trait for Xye lol). And when I think of how we describe our older brothers...=w="
I think I'm gonna cry>__< I loathe my brother. He should DIE and go to HELL!!!!
O_o. Man. I have an older brother too, and he's really a pain. He's the type who comments on every single thing I do. There was this time in church when I was singing along to a hymn and he went ''don't pretend to sing if you aren't,idiot". Gosh, imagine having to deal with tthat for every single waking moment.
Then again, I have more than 20 cousins,so I should be used to it. -_-;;
my brother hates japan and anime and manga and everything else that i like T_T. sometimes i'll be in the middle of proofreading and he'll delete everything i worked on just because he hates manga and i'm like DUDE WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE!?!?!?!?
but then again sometimes he's really nice (we're like 2 years apart) and he'll like threaten people for me and be cool.
but most of the time we just bicker about nonsense and he tells me that i have no friends and i'm just like..... -_- MIRROR!!!! HELLO! and whatever, but i know he's just doing it because he likes to make me mad (it amuses him) but i kind of have a short fuse!
and he's totally car/truck obsessed and rants at me about them and i'm like.... dude, i might be car smart for a girl, but i'm not THAT car smart.
and he's like, the kind of kid that never does homework or projects or brings books home (or to class for that matter) but still gets straight A's. he was out until like 1 in the morning the night before he took the SATs and his score was the highest in his grade! 2140! wth!? and i'm expected to beat him. so i actually try in school (and beat him) and then he's all like "ew ur so lame y r u trying". and i'm like :omg: cuz i gotta beat YOU!!!!! *stress
but other than the school thing, the japane hating deal, and of course the arguing, he's a really good brother. and without him i would totally suck at arguing : P
and omg i have a ridiculous family with hundreds of cousins (three in my grade, about 20 in my school) and like none of them talk to me. and i can't do ANYTHING bad because my family is humungous and EVERYWHERE.
i went to a diner (after doing stage crew for the school play) with my friends and got yelled at by my great aunt molly for wearing black. and i'm like DUDE. STAGE CREW. that's kinda like, the point! to not be seen! and she was like "that's no excuse to dress like that! you look like a delinquent!" and i'm like :crywithno:
Wow, giant family. Actually, I can't complain, my dad has six siblings, and their kids have kids. (my dad is the youngest in his family. :P)though, they're all in Korea or China so it's not like I ever see them. But my dad gave them my email address and now I'm getting random emails from cousins I never met because they wanna practice their english. T.T
man, that must suck. O_O. ._.:
Awww, thanks Kiriane! :shy:
I don't have as many cousins as you guys do, and all of the ones on my mom's side are way older.
Max, I [almost] totally know how you feel except that my brother is younger and I'm the one with the better grades [ha! jk] [oh, and let's hear it for the stage crew!!! w00t!]
I'd also like to throw out that relationships can [and will] change; often for the better. Being away at university has made it a trillion times easier to cope with my younger sibs' idiosyncrasies. I know it sounds crazy, but when you're not around them 24/7, you may develop the patience of a saint when you do see them. The "sib clash" is the age old paradox that will never be solved! :donwan:
In the meantime, we've got each other! :touched:
lol, group hug!
and i kinda get what you mean. it's much easier to be nice when you don't have to stay in the same house as them for a few months : P
like my friend, she has a little bro and sis, and i'm over at her house ALL THE TIME and i love her siblings, but after vacationing with them for a few weeks, i knew of her pain!
i'm rly sad about my big bro going away :( he's going to pennsylvania for tech school, and i'm gunna miss him cause no matter how much we argue, we're really close. but at least he'll be home for his last year of highschool this year!
I've shared a room with my older sister since the day I was born. She is my exact opposite when it comes to our personalities. Half the time I want to bang my head against a wall. She irritates me to no end (along with my older cousin who comes over quite a bit) >:(. I keep posters of bands and shows I like on my wall. I have posters of Miyavi and Gazette. My sis and cousin are always saying, "OMG! Are they girls? They look so freaky. Are they gay? blah blah blah" It's even worse when they bring their friends over. Ugh...I can't wait for them to go to college and leave me alone. I also have posters of manga on my wall. My cousin is anti-manga. All she can say is how immature and weird I am. This will be me after those two leave for college: *skip
Argh!!! I'm the older one out of me and my brother...It's so annoying when he comes into my room! :donwan:
We sometimes get along with each other, but not usually. He's only 2 years younger than me...
Sometimes I wish that he'd be more mature. :haix:
yea siblings..when they r nice its good....when they r not its hell..
I got an older sister. She nice most of the time, buying me lunch and stuff. But when shes mad, shes like a bomb.....
We can also start fights out of anything or nothing at all, which always result in me getting in trouble with my parents....
Funny thing..im the young one.
no siblings.....yay!! haha i know "spolied only child". but dont hate. i dont gotta share, give, or argue with a sibling and i am grateful for that!
well.. I'm an only child, so neither brothers nor sisters... :swt: I like being an only child... I'm accustomed to it... :woohehe: everything goes for meeeeee :wahaha: but, sometimes (really very fewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww times) I'd like to have a brother or sister... I'd be fun...
Don't, they are miserable to be around. Well, at least the ones I ended up with. Both my brother and sister went to college when I was 7 so I naively wanted a adopted brother... well lets just say I got 2, 1 of them is at a rehab(ish) place and the other is mentally ill... Not that all of them are that way though. Just getting that straight.
I'm the youngest in a family of 12 (8 brothers and 3 sisters), and it has always had its ups and downs.
The sibling next up from me is my brother Jaen; he's 5 years older then me.
When i was a teen he was really hard to live with at times, especially when he'd had a bad day (which was often. My brother was a hard worker and had a good heart - his boss knew this and exploited him mercilessly). It was hard too because my next older brother, Ingram, was only 3 years older then Jaen and so they always hung out together. So as a result when they were together I felt pretty lonely (although I never had any real trouble amusing myself); when Ingram wasn't around Jaen ignored me; and after Ingram moved out Jaen had very little interest in spending time with me, and when he did we usually ended up fighting.
So yeh, that was lonely for me, looking back, but I did well on my own.
Now, quite a while later, I don't really hear from most of my siblings for sometimes years at a time. They're scattered around the world; all fiercely independent personalities, and my family has never really been known for its' warmth. A number of them have acted really badly to my parents over the years too, which has disgusted me.
Hm, one sorta funny thing (at least, people that hear it often find it funny) is when I used to go into my brothers room to watch TV. Both he and I really loved Seinfeld and the house only had two TV's, so while my parents were watching the news, I'd go into my brothers room and watch his TV with him.
Anyway, I won't lie to you, he could be a really smelly guy. I mean, he had good hygiene, he just wasn't shy about bodily gases. lol.
So we were watching Seinfeld while eating dinner, and he just starts farting - not trying to be subtle about it or hold it in or anything. And they STUNK. like, bad. And I was eating.
So after a few I ask him if he could stop farting, because I was trying to eat (knowing I had to be careful because it was his room i was in, and I wanted to watch the show).. and he says.. 'if you don't like it you can leave!'
And that's just one of many strange memories. :=X:
I have one older sister but it is practically like I am an only child because there is a 9 year difference. When I was old enough to remember stuff, she was always studying for tests and doing homework. I have already lived 6 years without her which is why I consider myself an only child. As an "only child" I am kind of accustomed to not sharing and getting what I want which is really bad because for the summer (now) I am staying with my aunt for a month or so and she has two children who are a little younger than I am, and when we go grocery shopping to buy food, if I don't eat it the day I buy it, it will be gone the next day.
For the first two times I bought stuff especially for me, I thought I just had a bit of memory loss and that I had already eaten the food, but then the third time I was sure I didn't eat it all and I found out my cousins ate it and when I asked them if they did, they said they did without even hesitating.
When I am home, if I buy stuff, I will always leave some for my parents to eat so I am really not used to people eating stuff that I like.
Also, when I was like 1 or 2, my nanny took me to the park and she bought me a bouncy ball to play with and a boy my age wanted to play with me and I was really mean and I ran away from him because I didn't want to share :(
To me, sharing is NOT caring
:'( i have an older brother ( 10 years older O.O) and we get along...........well, we pretty much ignored each other after he went off to college... :touched: and when i comes back...he's a TOTAL stranger.
no more piggy back rides, no more huggies, no more watching him play games and annoy him, no more revenge of the pillows!, and.......... :crywithno: :crywithno: :touched: :'(
it was pretty funny watching Lily (furgeson) freak out and :omg: over my relationship with bro.
oh. and when i was a younger, people thought he was my DAD. :swt:
sounds like a typical scenario right out of a brother x sister shoujo.
Icewing and [her brother] have always been close. However, it turns out that they're not really siblings so now they have an excuse to take things further!
I'm assuming that's what Lily was freaking out about (the closeness of you both)? :=D:
Actually something more disturbing perhaps - when I was about 4 or so, my brother (he would have been about 9 or 10) practiced kissing on me. :vomit:
At the time I had no idea what he was doing, but it's no wonder I didn't forget.
Somewhat traumatizing, and I doubt I'll ever mention it to him.

Haha, there was a time when I was like 5 or 6, my sister was going to the movies with her friends and my mom needed to do something that didn't involve me so she had to take me, and when I was choosing candy to eat, someone asked if she was my mom. She got really mad after that and never took me anywhere again.
:haix: michelle.....xD that happens!
ok. um. no. lily was freaking out because she thought it was a very sad relationship. :'( to sum it up, it's like we broke apart from bro and sis relationship. into like........stranger sis relationship .*cries at memories* :touched:
ok. shoujo manga?????
he's TEN FRICKIN YEARS OLDER THAN ME..........O.O
Clearly you haven't read many age-gap shoujo/josei manga. :=D:
Besides, brother complex is kinda cute (in other people, anyway)~
O.O
anyways...................
have you read faster than a kiss? the teacher student relationship is not awkward like others. xD AND IT'S SO GOOD!!!
lol, not yet - it's on my reading list though, and I've heard a lot of good things about it. :)
My favorite teacher/student manga thus far is 'Sensei!'.
It's a pretty old manga and the first teacher/student I ever read (it's what got me into it)!
It's just so sweet~ and very plausibly written (with the usual dramatic ups and downs, but written in a way that is still true to life). The girl isn't overly sweet or pretty, and the guy doesn't look like he's young enough to be her classmate ~ it's almost bordering slice-of-life. But I really love it ~ I just wish it would finish being translated!
Anyway, I definitely recommend it! Do read~

my brother has sister complex...and well.. not to say that i don't like him...he is cute...but he seems kinda girly at times....
If he's more than five years younger, there's always some worry in my heart as I read...
This shitty josei. Messing me my head!

Just bleach his hair, give him a few piercings, a few rings and necklaces, VERY little clothing, and he's set!
ok. NO PIERCINGS PLEASE. maybe except for his ears. maybe. ONE ear
Really?

I don't think I could stand having a brother..
I am a bit OCD on cleanness.
I don't need EVERYTHING to be clean, but I have certain areas that need to be spotless. Like, my study has two tables, one is for my laptop which is in the clean area. While the other table is for my homework because my books and stuff are germy from school..
So, if I had a brother I don't think he would respect my feelings on keeping certain things clean.

has OCD too...in cleanliness too. Like when i eat something or place my laptop on the table, it must be cleannn :)
xD i have OCD. i wash my hands 100 times each day
Aren't we kind of getting a bit totally off topic here?
I thought this was about siblings, not about washing your hands XDD
ah...to get back on track!

yeah.

I don't want my big bro to come back... He is annoying... Shoooo!!!
xD lol. little brothers can be annoying i see....xD
Ya... Lilttle bro can be annoying too... But it is fun to bully them... :woohehe:
My sister is evil.....
but sometimes i love her....
it's a love-hate relationship really.
you know like when she's sick, she goes all pity pityful looks~ and you'll go aww and heart will soften.
then normal she's super dominant, must have everything when she wants it.
That's just how it's like with family members. They annoy you most of the time, but you know you can always rely on them when the hard times come.

you already have a bishie brother, what more can you ask for?
ok. #1: my bro is NOT bishi.
#2: he's not adorable. even if you turn back 10 years he's not adorable. wait. make that 15.
#3: how do you know my bro is...bishi....O_O'
I'm the oldest of two siblings.
D; My younger brother isn't bishi either. But *sniffs* he's taller than me and everyone thought he was the oldest. At a party, someone asked if he wanted wine. I wasn't even offered wine (never mind that I'm not old enough to legally drink)!
@mister want: lol i know what you mean. when my brother was starting to get taller, i kept jumping on him and forcing him to carry heavy things to make him not grow (lol i was naive back then). i even threatened my brother and anyone that said he was the same height or taller than me :noway: .

O_O i think i'm pretty balanced, except for no younger siblings
I have one older sister and one older brother.
Sister is 3 years older, brother is 6 years older.
I'm the one always getting bullied, getting the blamed and everything else :(
i guess i'm pretty lucky here :swt:
but sometimes my bro and i are so distant...-_- it's like we're strangers
My cousin is acting very distant with me.
I guess she does feel inferior to me. :swt:

hello.
i'm THE YOUNGER SISTER.
and I keep cleaning up after my older sister, putting her things where they belong when she just dump them on my bed or my study table. And also off-ing the lights for her.
Experience it first.
I am both an older and younger sister. And I clean up for all of them (including my brothers!). My mom says I'd make a good housewife if I knew how to cook LOL.
Sure, I have times when I want to punch them in the face, but most of the time I think they're adorable :) .
o.o go and learn how to cook :)
Since i'm the only daughter in my family, I have to do most of the cleaning (sometimes cooking) and its no fun at all... :'( :donwan:
How nice to have a sister like Disturby and Litoxpinky to help clean up the house for me... Do you guys wanna be my sister?? :woohehe:
LOL, sorry darling, I have my hands full with five other siblings D:

I mean I get what all of you guys are saying.
Trust me it's no walk in the park.
but theres one good thing that comes out of having a 13 year old boy in the house is that my brother already gets in more trouble than I do.
So is it a good thing? Yes.
But is it a bad thing? Yes.
Why?
Because there's always a loophole. >:(
LOL.
MY BRO COMES BACK ON THE 11th!!! :D
Have 2 big brothers that is older than me by 10 years :noway: Two big bullies :swt: One is anti-social type :touched: and one the loud type :donwan: I don't hate them or anything but :indotz: Seriously, I'm a girl so stop walking around the house naked :angry1: Even my mom can't control them. I'm also the youngest... I have an older sister and an older brother... My brother used to be a nightmare :'( My sister is the quite ice queen who you dont want on your bad side. My brother talks a lot :haix: They both out of school so I am the only one that get shouted at :swt:

And I have too keep to a bed time while my sibling dont :'(

I'm the middle child and apparently the most(?) annoying one. I ask some of the dumbest questions (can't remember atm what I've asked before), am demanding, easily irritated and critical (can you blame a math/logical person like me for being the most detail-oriented?), and can be just as immature.

And she is the BEST sister EVER! I was lucky! :P Since we weren't raised together we have never fought or anything like that. Even now we are super close, she even comes to visit me in Japan pretty often, and I go visit her in the States at least once a year.<333
Although, a hot older brother, the cool and collected type, would make me deliriously happy! *skip
people say my brother looks like Prince Harry
I have a younger brother, I used to bully him during our younger days...Am really a spoiled brat actually. Fiercesome temper..and I never let my brother use my stuff at all..NO... :swt:
However, now am so much older, I don't really mind coz my brother did to pay for my expenses when I'm doing my degree in Sydney :=D: so am lucky though!!!
My sister always used to borrow my clothes because she liked my stuff better then her stuff. Well she never returned those things and when I would ask for them back she always used to say she didn't have them. I'm generally a very patient person and my sister and I get along very well but after months of this happening and many of my favorite pieces of clothes going "missing" a girl gets fed up!
So I remember I finally went and told my dad (because I thought this was going to solve the problem) and when he went to ask her about it she had said to him that she never borrows any of my stuff because she can't fit into my clothes (my sister is REALLY tall.) Upon hearing this the Incredible Hulk took over and I pretty much ransacked her closet. Much to everyone's surprise there were my lost pieces of clothing! THIEF!!!!
ah...rant about how awesome my brother is...^.^
Hm...he's one of the most SANE and LOGICAL/REASONABLE person i've ever met. (:
I have some serious respect for him... *h3r0
I have a little sister, who's 6 years younger than I am. Strangely, whenever we are together and noone else ist there, we get along really well. But as soon as my parents (especially my mom) come into the mix, things get out of control. My sis starts not doing what she's supposed to do and annoys the people around her.
I haven't lived with my sister for almost 3 years now and I miss her terribly. It's really sad that I'm unable to see that little bugger grow up :(

Now, my oldest sister is getting married and I haven't seen her for years... :swt:
Wow, that's pretty bad - not seeing each other for years.
I see my sis like 3 to 4 times a year, but it's still too little cause she's 12 right now, and they grow so fast it's incredible. Once I didn't see her for like 1/2 a year, and she grew like 10 cm in that time.
But what makes me really sad is, that even when I see her, she doesn't tell me shit about herself. It's almost like she's a stranger now. I have no clue about her friends, maybe first boyfried or whatever she's doing. :'(
Quote from: Rioui on March 11, 2012, 11:54
It's really unfortunate of us because we came from a broken family... Well you know... :swt:
My father got me and my brother but he left us (my brother) and went to africa for his work. My two sisters were with my mom, but they eventually left my mom because she already have her own new family. My oldest sister lives in Haiti with her fiance because they work for UN. My other sister already had a child and they settled in Philippines. As for me, I'm living in KSA. :phew: So I don't know, I think we will see each other again if we attend my sister's wedding.. (I hope so)
[/quote]
man, that doesn't sound pretty. your family really is scattered all over.
I wish you good luck with reuniting with your family!
got a 2 year younger sis. though we get along pretty good we are polar opposites in quite a few parts. she cares a lot about thing while i go like meh. she is aal good in beeing social while i just like beeing in the background. she likes medical stuff while i like technical stuff.
but yeah in the end i'm still her big bro
I got a sister of 2 years older. But I always have to be the mature one! She is moving out soon and she still sucks at cooking (mainly because she waits untill I get hungry and make food, shes's too lazy to do it herself!)
I love her, but she has the tendency to keep nagging over little stuff and make everybody want to strangle her!
I worry over her, because she will be on her own with all those bad habits.... :crywithno:
I have six sisters! YES SIX. And only one of them is older then me. There's three on my mom's side and three on my dads side.
My youngest sister at my mom, Abbi, is her name. is the most annoying creature ever! :omg: She drives me insane! Then the second youngest, Lexi, is alright. Most days. She has her moments, but we usually get along.
Then my sisters at my dads we all get along and they adore me. Seriously! As soon as I walk in the door its all "GLOMP MANDI!"
hehe. They're all so cute.
Six sisters... HOW DO YOU SURVIVE?! I only have one, who makes my blood crawl already, so six? *dead
It must be nice to feel so loved!
Scenario at my house:*I come walking in*sister behind laptop. Ignores me. I say hey, and again. And after a while you get a 'hey dude' mumbled back... Thanks sis, for totally realizing I'm a girl. NOT.
Idolove her though..
Mostly I just ignore them. I sit in the basement by myself all day and if ignore them they go away.
That kinda happens at my house with my sister Lexi. Except I have to say it 50 times to get her freaking attention. >:(
Hahaha, good job! :goodjob:

T_T I miss my bro.
for those who don't know about him:
- he's old. like...old. >_> he needs a girlfriend.
- i love him. not sure if he knows.
- he's not the lovey dovey type of bro.
- not the overprotective kind either.
- but i really miss him when he's not here...*cries*
this is the mushy side of icey. don't expect it to appear again...(:
* has no friggin clue what his sister thinks about him :swt: *
prolly something alike me needing a gf and need to shave
I have THREE younger brothers (4, 9, and 11 years old)... XD And a fourth in a couple months. They're great though, and I have trained them well in the ways of the otaku. :=D: I'm going to miss them when I go to college in a couple years... :'(

I have no siblings... I guess I'm missing out lol. But more than enough cousins >.<
I wish I had an older brother!
Well, sometimes having siblings sucks big time... There are times when I just want to bash my sister's head in... Even though I love her.
Yeah, sometimes it sucks, buuuut~
I have a brother (6years Younger) and a sister(1year Younger). I'm the oldest, and I would be lying if I said that I never wished I was a single child :=X:
However, I'm glad I'm not: We fight a lot, but we enjoy alot each other's company. They are my best friend and my most important persons :shy:
That's why, I can't stand when I see siblings always fighting each other and hating each other. It's too sad, and it always make me want to cry...
Siblings... how nice. My brother used to be really nice to me until he entered adolescence, then he hated me, and now we're just normal aquantainces.
Ah, that's too bad...
yeah, he was really protective of me when we were in primary school.
Is he older or younger?
he's 5 years older than me, if I was protected by my younger brother that would be weiird XD
It happens xD
I have a sister that I find really annoying. She just loves to lecture me on random things.
sometimes i think my little sister (2nd oldest) a boss or something
pinching on my hand (or any other parts) that says "stop that"
saying she's right and stuff
truth be told, sometimes what she says to me stabs straight to the heart.
the worst one was where she told me "your bringing shame to this family" (not sure if translation is right) TT_TT
not to mention sometimes we rarely talk. surely we have fun times but those times last like about 5 min.
Now I'm wondering if I've ever been a good big sister (note: i'm the eldest[17]. 1 borther [10] and 2 sisters [14 & 16])!! :crywithno:
I'm sure you are a good bigger sister, your sister might just be going through her adolecent period.
I hope so :touched:
my sister and I also fight alot, but in the end I still love her
I find that the eldest sisters are always so harsh on themselves, thinking they failed their siblings...
BUT REALLY, they're their own worst critics, and they are actually AMAZING siblings.
I concur to that as a younger sibling
you Guys~ :o_o:
I wonder if my little sis thinks that way too :touched:

It's not that great. You have a lot of responsibilities but it's also pretty cool, watching your siblings grow up and having the Boss status over them. B)

I didn't understand when you said "but I became her mother".
OT: Most siblings that are the same gender rarely have conflicts with one another, because they understand each other. Except those twisted people.
My siblings drive me crazy, but they just wanted to teach me to be good.
Wow jess, thats a huge responsibility! You guys must love eachother a lot.
Sally, when I was 8 my mom worked a full time job and went back to school full time and my dad went back to work, so my sister did not see my mom or my dad much b/c they were always busy, so she thought that I was her mom, since I was the one taking care of her.
Yea Lia, its was a huge responsibility a lot of people think that my sister is my real child b/c we are so close.
there was one time when i was going with my sister to the church, a person idk passes by and says "oh, are going to the church with your child? ". :swt:
Oh that happens to me all the time and it is annoying b/c it makes me think that I look older than I should
Yup. agreed.
there was also the time when i was in the mall and a shop selling children's books told me "hey! do you wanna buy a book for you child? (or somewhere along the line =___=)
people are bold when they say things it is weird sometimes
or maybe more of an airhead
that is true or they might be half blind or mostly blind lol
which reminds me. have you guys ever experienced helping your sisters/brothers in their homework then find out the next day that the solutions you taught were all wrong? :noway: :crywithno:
Yep that as happened to me a couple of times. I have also taught my sister the way i was taught to do something b/c her teacher didnt teach them and the teacher yelled at her, told her that the way i taught her was wrong and she wanted them to do it a special way.
my poor sister.... :crywithno:
getting zero on her homework because of me.... :indotz:
My sister and I never really interacted with homework I guess. I didn't need the help anyway, so it worked out just fine *skip
Oh man, Pau that is not good
I know!! :crywithno:
I should study more :zzzz:
Well sometimes we forget and get confused about whatever it is
that's the hard part :indotz:
True so true
I've never experienced that, but oh my goodness I'm glad I haven't... OTL
Why Lia?
I mean, GAH, I would feel so guilty after... My poor sibling, totally confused because I taught them the completely wrong thing. :indotz:
oh true
I have 3 of them (siblings) *dead
but one of them RARELY even do his homework/project.
anyone know what to do?
I can only say, let them learn the hard way.
As we say here, burn your butt, you gotta sit on the blisters.
Just believe that they are going to be fine in the end.
That's actually so true! Sometimes, people learn better from experience. Coming from my personal stubborn-ness. :indotz:
So don't worry too much Paupau
dunno about that.
we also tried that one but then his ranking went down from 3 - 10 :swt:
Wait... ranking?
He was No. 3? o-o
yup.
you could say one the people with the highest grade. if the grading was 1-100%, he's average would always be about 93-95% i guess?
now it's somewhere between 80% :indotz:
Isn't that still great?! I haven't even heard of anybody in my school who has that... I'm one of the smartest kids in school and I'm dangling around 73%
WOAH really?
I had a 94% last year, and this year...
:vomit:
Maybe our tests are just harder?
The high school system is quite different here, so I suppose that has something to do with it?
Maybe, I hear education over there is a lot tougher!
how hard?
Well, we are divided into level of education, you could see it like this:
- the dumb people
- the average people
- the smart people
(the very smart people)
The tests are made according to what level you are in, the classes are also different depending on where you are.
I'm in the very smart people class, so tests are hard according to my level.
Does this clear things up a bit?
guess so.
if I were in your class... *dead
Don't be so down Paupau dear, it's not that bad!!
o.k then how about an example topic on math?
What do you mean? I think.you mean what.kind of stuff I do?
Right now we are learning to calculate volumes of function that we revolve around the x- and y-axis...
Oh that is some interesting stuff there
uh. is that calculus? O__O
I wouldn't know, I just know that it is math...
I think it is xD sounds like my calculus class
Okay, then it is n_n
Yea it is
It's okay to do, once you get the hang of it...
LOL by the end of the year, I understood all the hard math, but couldn't even wrap my head around the easy math... :crywithno:
aww I know how that is
*Sigh* And back to studying I go...
oh my studying :(
Well actually, I think I'm done for the night! ^_^ Whee~
YAY! :)
I should write an evaluation paper, but I'm too tired to do it... :swt:
The biggest lesson I learned this year was that sometimes you have to think of your health over school work/stress ^^;;
AMEN, LIA. that comes a LOT more into play when you go to college (especially if you're boarding away from school) because your parents aren't there to hover over you and take care of you. i know my roommate at some point worked herself to the point where she was bedridden for a whole day cause she kept going out/studying/doing work nonstop. that's even happened to me, although i had a slightly different situation ^^;
so true....:swt:
that is so true even though i learned that the hard way
I'm lucky I haven't reached that point just yet... :swt:
yea, if HS is hell then college is even worser than that :swt:
ot: sooo... i have a younger sister (just a few years). i think she on her rebellios stage going on about how no one loves her here and everyone is blaming her and as the older sister im kinda worried about it. any suggestion? :(

ot: sooo... i have a younger sister (just a few years). i think she on her rebellios stage going on about how no one loves her here and everyone is blaming her and as the older sister im kinda worried about it. any suggestion? :(
It's not necessarily rebellious, most teens go through a lonely alienated phase. What you can do is support her interests, no matter how bad she may be at it, as long as she's not hurting herself. Buy her a pretty book for her to write down her feelings in. Don't address the subject head on, show her you love her and care for her by going around the subject and treat her/invite her to things she think are fun (and get with the times, the interests change FAST as you might remember). Or, you can just meet her feelings. It may be hard as a sibling that's way through and over that phase to not just shrug it off and tell her to grow up and stop being silly. She'll hopefully know how silly she was when she gets older. Just let her vent and treat her feelings wholeheartedly. And, just listen. You will grow closer as people, and she won't feel as lonely. She'll still be in the lonely phase, but at least, let her know that your world would crumble if she wasn't in it.
(I've seen too many teens disappear in this phase, and I almost did too, so don't treat it lightly).
Good luck!
Just try to show your love. My older sister and me fought a lot, but in the end I knew she'd always be there for me. I believe that is what really counts.
i hope so.... im not really on good terms with her though :indotz:
Maybe you could go shopping with her? Have some coffee, talk for a bit?
