:hi: everyone!!!! well, my first anime - that probably was the same for most latin american ppl - was Sailor moon!!!! I loved it!!!! I would watch it as soon as I came back from school, at 4 pm! I was looking foward to see it!!! *skip
hello! i can't exactly remember, but i think my first anime was probably pokemon. (that's an anime right? lol)
and i never liked sailormoon :X sorry to all sm fans!
Astro Boy..... So old :=X:
Unknowingly Pokemon probably when I was still a kid.
Knowingly... it would be Death Note perhaps.
It's either... Dragonball, Sailormoon or Gundam Wing. Those are the only 3 I remember watching when I was young o.O... I'm leaning more towards Dragonball since it's the oldest anime in that list xP
Though I know I started watching non-dubs with Prince of Tennis.
Maybe it's sailor moon? Dont really remember! I don't even know it's called anime then...
errrmmmm ???
Probably Sailormoon and Samurai X, back at kindergarden.... LOL. :o_o:
and the USUAL for everyone [Pokemon, Digimon]
First anime? Hm...
Sailor Moon *skip Just like anyone
else :goodjob: Of course, those days,
I'm already happy seeing a high school
girl transform into a super duper magical
sailor when problem arises  I've even
thought of being like them when I stepped into
high school :shy: But I was >:( and :noway: and :crywithno: when I've
graduated and I still cannot transform. :vomit:
...my first real anime was Ayashi no Ceres (Ceres Celestial Legend). After that was Rave. Those were when I was 14---
why? ...because prior to that I didn't have time for Saliormoon etc... T_T... should I feel deprived, or relieved?
Used to watch Sailor moon and pokemon when I was little xD So nice *-*
Probably Voltron (which was just part of another anime, name escapes me at the moment). Soooo old...
:noway: This is me on an empty stomach, sleep deprivation, caffeine, and sugar!
I can't even remember which anime I watched first. I can tell you some of them that I've enjoyed. Those are Gokusen, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Blood+, Vampire Knight, Skip Beat, Kaikan Phrase, the Gundam series, Ouran High School Host Club, D.N.Angel. Loveless and Escaflowne.
Peach Girl when I was thirteen. I read in the comments section something about there being a manga and was like
WTF is manga?
That's when it began I guess :goodmood:
Sailor moon for me when i was like....5. xD and then.......Naruto, KHR, Vampire Knight, Rosario Vampire, 07 Ghost, La Corda D'oro, SA, OHSHC, and some others. :goodmood:
LOl.. this makes me sound pretty old but.. Astro Boy!
I even remember the theme song by heart still.. so sad. :swt:
There was another before that I think, no idea what it was tho.. only remember the end credits in my mind.. with one of the characters spinning around on the right side of the screen.. hmm. There was something about 'Calico'.. I think it was a persons name in it.. Anyway!
ok. that is a little old :swt:
i remember when i was 6 i watched dragon ball z and shaman king and that robot cat thingy. idk what it was called xD
It was back in camp
when there was this really cute girl
who smelled like apricots and had ipod speakers... IPOD SPEAKERS~~~ <3
>:D She lurved anime. So my first anime was TECHINALLY Yugiyoh abridged, which was hilarious.
But i guess my first anime which I watched beginning to end was Bleach.
Or not end. I don't watch it anymore.
BLEACH SUCKS. in drawings TOTALLY.
I definitely don't agree with that.
Kubo Tite is love when it comes to hot guys in color...
Noone else can match her XD
Ah well, just a little difference in aesthetic tastes. *skip
onion heads are so cute (and i can't post them for some reason....) <-sry, please ignore me
Melly is spaaaaaaaaaaaaaming! No response to the convo!
Convo Stopper Epicness :woohehe:
You didn't in your last one either :D
And yes, Astro Boy is old (it was on LOOONG before I first saw it on TV), but they just don't make subbed TV animes like that anymore (I'm talking the sort you see on morning tv).. all that crap like DBZ and yugioh, etc. SO bad.
Hmm, I think Astro Boy was one of the first anime on international TV actually.
*sighs...
I was just answering the thread question.
Kubo tite? NO WAY. HE'S OLD TOO. BLEACH IS UGLY!!!
??? I really don't know what these mangakas look like,
but his work is good. T___T Well, your choice if you want to spam.
It's kind of dragging the whole forum down now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first anime that started in my otaku addiction to anime and later manga was.. Fushigi yuugi.
Watched it close to ... seven times? (The whole thing - the series, the ops, the ovas) LOL.
Hardcore fan i am.
Still love how the characters are so handsem.
-swoons.

Hmmm, Hard to remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure it was Thundercats ( that counts right?) or Voltron. If those don't count, then Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z in that order.

Technically it was Pokemon and Yugioh that were the first ones I had watched. But death note is what actually got me into anime more.

??? I think my first anime was between Cardcaptor Sakura and Dragon Ball! I kind of watched both of them at around the same time, and I was 6 years old then... Still, they provided me with knowledge on both type of anime, Shounen and Shoujo~ And as embarrassing as it was, I was more like a boy than a girl back then, growing up with four brothers tend to do that to you~ :woohehe:

My very first anime was The Wallflower, but I've watched only a few eps (it was quite boring for me then, now i find this series really nice).

wait. Strength with or without his familia? XD
That.... is a good question. I actually had to ponder for a while to get the answer. My answer is, neither. For me, his strength not only lies in how he wields his whip, however, it also includes the way he managed to go though Reborn's spartan training, becoming a don at a young age, reviving his family's finance and his unyielding will when he has to train Hibari Kyouya! *skip
lets see.
Spartan training - slightly mentioned in the manga and anime, NO EPIC SCENES OF ABUSE AND TORTURE :( big demerit.
Becoming a don - It's like Tsuna inheriting his family right? =.=
Reviving family finance - In the past it was more than doing okay O_O
Unyielding will: Hmmm...more of less he got interested into finding ways how to get Hibari to train.... like..... D18 here~~
Alright, alright! I'm raising the white flag here! *dead
Hmm, my answers were shot down pretty quick, maybe because I haven't really thought about it... Mmm, I just thought that Dino would make a better dominant than Hibari, Hibari's more like a tsundere and it's more entertaining to read how Dino had to coax him into being together~ :woohehe:

More recenly, I've been rewatching School Days (one of the earliest anime I watched after returning to the realm of japanese media) All I have to say about that it's a (very very) bad choice. I'm closing in on the ending again, and knowing how it's going to end is just scarring. @_@
WAIT!! IT MIGHT NOT BE SAILOR MOON FOR ME!! do you guys know the Monkey King? i watched the chinese version of that when i was like...4 O_O i just remembered!
i watched pokemon first.
then cardcaptor sakura.
but pokemon was like a couple of eps here and there.
i finished the cantonese version of cardcaptor sakura.
As a kid, I didn't even know I was watching anime - I just though it was yenno another cartoon - haha!
Thinking back now I -think- my first anime was actually Digimon. Like. The very FIRST digimon season. I liked the second season too. After that I didn't watch to much. I hate when they start changing and replacing characters - like in Yugioh. It just starts feeling like a knock off, in my opinion.
I also watched Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball too, but I can't remember if that was before or after Digimon - probably before, I was pretty young - haha!
Although, I actually got into anime and manga (and realised what it actually was) much later after catching some Inuyasha on [as]. I was completely hooked after I got a hold of some Gundam. LOL!
Now days, I'm a regular otaku. I've seen and read so much its embarrassing.
:=X:
Uh. I'm not sure. Shugo Chara? But I think I stopped watching it after the first 20 eps. xD
Sailor Moon was first for me... I didn't know what it was, but I knew that I liked it! (I was a kid...) That laid the foundation.
:goodjob:
Then it was Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, then Digimon. All at my piano teacher's house waiting for my sister to finish her lesson. So nostalgic.
I had a cousin way into Dragonball Z but I didn't like it at the time. Now I have started on Dragonball and think there may be hope?
:shy: the first anime i saw was special A... seriously, i like cried when i finished it :=X:
I think it was either sailor moon or doraemon
@Darselo: Dragon Ball, in my opinion, is definitely better than Dragon Ball Z.
@oOblackwhiteOo:
He proposed via those fireworks, if I remember correctly?
I'm not sure if its Rave, Pokemon or...I don't remember it's title but its about mermaids who can transform and the pink mermaid has a pet penguin.
And...is Voltes 5 an anime? If so, then it is the first. :=D:
I remember their big cool robot. *h3r0
OMFG I THINK THAT WAS...Mermaid melody! :3

Yeah yeah yeah! Its mermaid melody!
And I last night I wasn't able to sleep because I'm thinking which was the first anime that I saw and after long time of remembering, Rave won. :3
My first anime was definitely Pokemon.
But wow, I'm sorry. :swt: I have no clue what Rave and Mermaid Melody are.
Don't worry, Ryu, I don't either... :omg:
It's a magical-girl about mermaid princesses. They defeat enemies by singing. It's better than I just made it sound. (Don't tell anyone, but I have a few of the songs in my collection...)
O.o
I see...
my first anime was pokemon and after that inuyasha :))
cookie_ann and Cookie-Achel. oh god XD
Rave is a shounen anime, pretty similar to Fairy Tail (same mangaka), Bleach or any other of that genre.

@Werr: haha, didn't know Rave had the same mangaka as Fairy Tail XD
...O_O WHOA they're not?!
...i guess it'll be cookie-chan 1 and cookie-chan 2... :hmmm:
i still remember mermaid melody...and HOW EVERYONE IS OVERLY ANOREXIC...LMAO
I have another twin >_<
@furgeson(lily i think): lol. its obvious >_< both animes have plue~
Wow, two cookie-chans! <3
@Achel: yay~ You got my name right! :)
Aw, Plue is plue, and Happy is a... happy flying dog >_> They're different (Just look at Plue's swirly nose! Ish so cute~)
:=D: i didn't know that there is another cookie around :)
Soorrry
Nah. Both anime has plue. Rave's Plue is their companion like Happy in Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail's Plue is Lucy's spirit. He is nikora minor.
Oh, I remember now~ I totally forgot about Lucy's spirit T_T He only makes a couple (one...?) appearance, but he was still shoooo cute <3
Pokemon for sure. :goodjob:
Of course at the time I had no idea I was watching "anime". My first anime that I knew actually was anime was Fruits Basket.
My friend got me hooked on the manga and then i went and found the anime. That was the beginning of a long and ongoing obsession with manga and anime. :=D:
Hahaha!!! I never liked Sailor Moon and I still don`t like it :=X: Anyway, the first anime I saw (if my memory doesn`t fails this time) I think it was Sakura Card Captor and I was like 13 years old and then I remeber I saw Pokemon, Digimon and Ranma 1/2. Never saw Heidi because I didn`t liked too
the fiest anime i watched was Blood+ while using my sisters laptop in 2009 and since then i couldnt get enough of animes

NONONONO!! Pokemon is a childhood MUST WATCH!
(:
No, the childhood must-watch is doraemon!
:omg: Now I must not be confused??
I never watched it because I never found it... Now I don't think I'll find it either....
At some point in my childhood, Voltron. I was in love with Lance (see avatar). Then in high school it was Sailor Moon on USA Network. In college, it was Vampire Hunter D and Ninja Scroll. Those last two put me off of anime until recently, when I picked up Fruits Basket on Netflix.
For the longest time, I disliked anime-style cartoons and I think it was due to this weird anime movie I watched as a youngster that had a flute-playing guy turning people into giant jigsaw puzzle pieces for his master. Apparently, this master (who was basically a creepy dumpling, I think) was building a tower/city with the pieces? Anyway, if I remember correctly, the hero was a young boy whose parents had just become jiggy wit' it. With his earnest cuteness, he managed to convince the flutist to turn on his master and the grand finale was everyone turning back into themselves. Can't remember the name for the life of me, which is why I'm claiming Voltron as my first.
sounds like a pretty instresting anime... (the one you described)
What is Voltron like?
Quote from: Renny on September 08, 2011, 07:23

Hard to say. I suppose it's like the original Speed Racer, only in outer space. It's got a now-vintage art style, unabashedly cheesy dialogue and voice overs, and comical villains. My favorite part was when the lion ships would join together to make VOLTRON!
Cant say that i have ever watched it...
The very first? Let me think about that one ???
The Little Bits (Yes, that is an anime). Its about a lot of little fairies (or pixies, I forget which) that live in the forest next to a mountain. That was back when I was, like, four or five, and I didn't recognize it as anime at the time. The first one I realized was actually anime was Sailor Moon, from when I was around six or seven.
I didn't really get into anime until I saw Ranma 1/2 though. :=X:
lol I got into anime because i was bored and was looking for something to do on my sisters laptop which i had for the holidays... I came across on or two episodes of Bleach and One Piece but it didn't start at the first episode so i stopped watching and moved on to Blood+
I think I watched a lot of anime as a kid. (I just didn't know they were called anime). I remember they used to broadcast a lot of dubbed anime back then.
Anyway, the ones I really loved back then were Akazukin Chacha and Ranma 1/2.
For me, it's Kino Journey: the Beautiful World. *skip I've just watched it on TV, and finds the talking motorcycle interesting. :=X: Then, I stole my brother's CD of pokemon and digimon, and started my addiction on anime. :woohehe: That time, I still can't use the internet without a reason :omg: So I could only catch it on TV :indotz: That time, my all time favorite is Gakuen Alice :heeee:

Like a bajillion other people out there...my first anime was sailor moon :D
Only difference is I still like it at 14... that's not weird, right??
Hehehe, I'm always making fanart of sailor moon...
Actually, what's so good about sailor moon? i can never get myself to watch it .___.
I guess it depends on the person. For me, there's just something about the costumes... I really love to draw them. O_o
Maybe the magic of Sailor Moon is only clear to 'moonies'- diehard sailor moon fans... XD
Looking at the graphic, I don't like it :touched: I don't know why OTL
I only watch anime if the quality is nice and the art/grafics is good... but you have to respect the people who make the anime... They have to draw like every frame with colour :blur: I bare manage one picture :'(
I know. Some anime like Starry sky have good image, but terrible plot. But the game is awesome though
game?? ???
Otome game for starry sky. Starry sky is originally a pc game, then made into an anime :=X:
OH... Where you play the game?
You could download it online now. First, download the original version (jap) then download the english patch, then you can play in english :goodjob:
where do i find it?
Just online and search 'starry sky summer english patch'

HUm.. let me see... (thinking ............) ] :swt:
I think it was super boink.. and Time Quest...
ooooh.. and Flying book also.. :=X:
I've never heard those animes before :=X:
The first anime I ever saw was Inyuyasha.
Reading through this thread has reminded me of so many things I watched as a kid that I never considered "anime", like Voltron and Thundercats. (They were new when I was little :haix: ).
The first thing I ever watched knowing that it was a "Japanese cartoon" was the Vampire Hunter D movie, when I was, like, eight. I tell people that and tend to get a o_o response. :=X:
But what turned me into an anime fan was, like almost half the people in this thread, Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z on Toonami (when I was 18 or so. :P )
My fiends look at me wierd when i tell them that i never whatched Dragon ball, Yu gi oh and as such :=X:
^ I haven't watched any of those either! :=X:
In fact, I've never watched Sailor Moon before. Only the first episode when it aired on TV this summer.
Anime was already all over the place since I was born, so I've watched tons that I can't remember.
But I remember growing up with Ojamajo Doremi and CCS.
CCS?
ahh... i havent watched that one either....
CCS - My favourite when I was young
and i have never watched it...
Hmm, not counting Avatar: The Last Airbender (since it's not officially anime), my first anime would have been Detective Conan, which is still my favorite. (as if you couldn't tell...)
I really enjoyed avatar! I cant dicide whether it is an anime or not... art wise it could and couldn't be..

Which country is that?
The first anime I ever say was Detective Conan (unless you count Avatar: the Last Airbender). I'm still a huge fan. (I got season one on DVD for a Christmas present, and I'm so excited! *skip)
As for best animes I've ever seen, that's a tough one. Even though Detective Conan is my favorite, I wouldn't say it's the best. I guess my top three would be:
1. Avatar: The Last Airbender (if that counts as anime...)
2. Seirei no Moribito
3. Baccano (it was a bit bloody, and I wouldn't watch it again, but the plot structure was so amazingly put together, I finished it and I was like, wow. :touched:)
Then again, when I'm talking best, I'm not talking favorite, or what made me laugh, I'm talking amazing plot/story structure/character development. All three of these meet those standards.
My first... That would be Pokemon then... (the only one airing in my country when I was little....)
As for favourites: death note, avatar and Inuyasha <33
POKEMON ROCKS!
So wanted to be a Pokemon Master when I grew up. :goodmood:
Haha, it does!
I wanted to have Picachu... :shy:
I think it's honest to say...that I wanted all of them. >.>
:=X:
Hahaha, I thought I should pcik one and not be greedy...
But your way works too! XD
If I had to choose one, then...either a Dragonite, Chansey, or Togepi.
^^; I still can't pick just one...
Hahaha, you remember them all? I wouldn't be able to.... Besides pikachu that is... I didn't watch it that much.. It was more a boy-thing v.v
Only the first 100 and some Pokemon. XD
and I watched it ALL THE TIME.
Psh, Pokemon is for all ages, all genders, all everything. :bingo:
Hmmmm I think my first anime was sailormoon. As far as I can remember that was the only one they actually had on tv at that time.
Okay, sorry...
My parents just didn't allow that much tv...
I always watched Totally Spies xD but that is not an anime I think...
Technically the first anime I've saw would be InuYasha because my dad and his friend use to watch it and I'd watch it with him, but that was before I realized it was an "anime" and not a "cartoon". What actually got me into anime and manga was Fruits Basket. My first love.
No way!! Fruits Basket got me addicted as well!
I still love it with all my heart :)
Haha that's awesome!
I should really re-read it. It's been awhile...
You give me an idea...
I should too!!! It already reread it twice, but I think a third time won't hurt
Nope! Rereading mangas you haven't read in awhile is fun! Same goes for books. :woohehe:
Yes!That is so true!! I read some of my favourite books so many times! :shy:
They keep being great, no matter how many times you read them :=D:
Exactly! I have to agree with you there. :D
Although I read harry potter too many times.... I know all the stories by heart now...
I'm sad... I can't read them no more because I know what will happen on every page! :omg:
*adds her $.02* The first anime I can remember watching, like a typical Latin American, is Sailor Moon.
I always watched it at my cousin's house when we were little(ish). However, I had no clue that it was actually a Japanese anime and not a Mexican or Spanish cartoon until I was in High School when my friend showed me the giant poster in her room going "that's anime!" To my clueless, "No, that's a Mexican cartoon, and those two aren't cousins!" After that came much squealing (and wincing on my end) and a bombardment of questions as to how I got the "un-edited" versions.
From there it wasn't until college that I first saw, and yes, adored, Yu-Gi-Oh! (Go on, laugh it up. Just know that in the end it's going to be me flying off into the sunset in a helicopter with Seto Kaiba to live richly happily ever after.)
The first anime I saw subbed instead of dubbed, however, was Gravitation. Then Rurouni Kenshin, SDK, Inuyasha... I was pretty much doomed after RK. I mean, sexy man with a sword that does laundry? Mmmm~ :shy: Manga came later... sometime... and suddenly I had three bookshelves full of manga and a Japanese 101 book in my backpack.
Ahh.... to be young(er) again... <3
wow that some history oh anime/manga!! :wahaha: I had a good smile at your expense sorry :hmmm:
Lovely history
I will be watching the ones that I haven't seen yet ^0^
 Sailormoon and Dragon Ball. Oh I miss those days.
You know. Lots of people I know have said that their first anime was Sailor Moon and that it was an exactly good show.
I still have yet to watch it. :=X:
I really enjoyed Sailor Moon, but I think the fandom started to turn me off after I got older and started to see just how over the top people went. Still, I'd recommend it. <3
First animu i saw was Rozen Maiden. Because desu desu desu desu desu desu all over 4ch.
pfff dunno exactly but I think pawkemawns or deebeezee
first one I really watched and downloaded was naturo -_-'
*Harrstein's inner hipster cries*
Star Blazers was the very first one I ever watched but then I was too young to know it was considered anime. I just loved animation and cartoons.
My affair will anime and manga really only started when I watched Hana Yori Dango.
Mine was actually DragonBallZ... A little 7 year old me watched it with my parents occasionally... I still remember the episode with Boo. :=D: The show made quite an impression on me. ^_^
But It wasn't till much later that I found out what anime was and started reading Naruto... (Inner hipster starts crying with Harrstein's)
mine was doraemon or pokemon, i think. In spanish U_U the first one I watched conciously was One Piece followed by bleach, death note ( and yes, that was the start of my addiction hehehe)
My first anime was probably pokemon (I'm still stuck with a pokemon nickname, because my last name sounds a bit similar to Lampi, which is the German version of Chinchou... could have been worse XD)
And the games are great, I still play them^^
The first anime I saw with subs and noticed as Japanese was Gravitation :goodjob:
Seems like pokemon was the most popular when we were kiddies~! :=D:
Here in Germany it definitely was...
Everyone was watching it when I was younger^^
Seems like Germany and The. Netherlands were quite similar in that respect!
Picachuuuu~~~<3
Pokemon is quite popular here too. I know my sisters use to watch it all the time. I think I watched it once or twice but never really got into it. I guess I thought it was more of a cartoon then an anime. ??? Same with InuYasha but that's because I was young and didn't even really know what anime/manga was. ^-^
But you see pokemon stuff all over in the stores ;3
GOD, my first anime had to be Evangelion. What a horrible way to start my anime life, in a very violent and traumatic way. still one of the very best...
Then i just saw a couple of times some Sabe J, Saber J to X, Nightwalker <3, Sailor moon, etc etc
My first shoujo was Marmalade boy, and GOD i loved it so much!! I videotaped it!
Mine was Kiki's Delivery Service. You gotta love Studio Ghibli.
My first was OURAN XD
Yeah, I was kind of traumatized throughout the first few episodes (my friend kept dragging me to anime club at school), but I got used to it :goodmood:

I think Sailor Moon was my first anime too. I begged my Mom for the Halloween costume :=X: lol
After that I think it was the Ninja Scroll movie, which I now own because it's pure awesome! :goodjob:
When I was a tiiiny kid, Moomins, but I didn't know it was anime. I first remember seeing something like Pokemon or Sailor Moon on TV. Fruits basket was the first series I bought as a manga and actually chose to watch, so that's special for me :)
The first series I ever bought and am still collecting is Black Cat. The anime of Black Cat is fairly different from the manga, but somehow it isn't that bad, you can imagine that plot turn being possible as well.
For me it was doraemon, children's anime was already pretty popular all over the oriental parts of asia back int he 1990s. Man I feel old now.
Wow..... You should feel old blobby...
you're older than me >:D I'm 20, you're 21

I think I've mentioned it several times already. But by Odin, do I love Naruto. :touched:
As stated before, it was my first love in the world of anime and I still enjoy it 'til now. I think it'd leave a massive whole in my chest when it finally finishes but I think the end is long overdue. (It's been almost six years since I first watched it.)
Is the anime loyal to the manga? Or is it somewhat different? ???
the anime follows the manga (at the moment, as far as i can tell since i stopped watching it) pretty accurately. AT THE MOMENT. it has diverged a LOT in the past; the last 100 or so episodes of naruto (original naruto, not shippuden) were filler, which was really annoying. actually, a lot of episodes in naruto were filler...
there were some fillers in shippuden as well, but up til i dropped it (lol i forgot when i stopped watching) it stuck to the manga pretty well.
actually, naruto was my first anime too! i started watching it in 5th grade LOLOL hard to believe i'm in college now and i still follow it xD i remember coming home from school every day and watching it on my friend's computer, haha. good times :p i caught up in about two months which i was quite proud of... (80-90 some episodes i think)
The anime is pretty loyal to the manga. Not a lot changes in the main plot save for the amount of violence shown, lol. There are plenty of fillers all throughout Naruto and Shippuden though - I think there's a 24 filler arc whenever the anime got close to catching up with the manga? (Which I think explains the last 100 or so episodes of Naruto.)
But woo, Sora. Huzzah for catching up. :D It took me a month and I think I suffered a little for catching up too fast. Waiting for one episode a week was painful... I'd have vents to my mate every week about one episode, LOL.
LOL, catching up too fast? dude i caught up with one piece (all 500-some episodes at the time) in a month. it was crazy. i literally just came home from school and sat down at my computer and watched one piece (it was senior year, i wasn't doing anything...). THAT was catching up fast.
i've never really tried to catch up with any anime before (since i would frequently forget what episode i ended :swt:)
that's why you use myanimelist hehehehe :woohehe:
uh... idk know how to use it...(except searching for anime :swt: )
Pau, create an account? xD Start searching for anime/manga then add them to your list?
It's that easy. I love myanimelist 'cause it's so simple to use, haha. *nods*
And Ange, that's crazy. You're crazy. x-x
LOL I just have this one piece of paper at my computer, with all these numbers of episodes crossed out as I write new numbers to replace them... They're all over the place!

yup, i did that too :swt:
*hi-fives paupau*
I gave up on anime :swt:
I don't blame you, it eats away my little amount of time ^^;; so I just read manga.
Maybe in the summer... *w*
Me too,manga all the way!
*sigh* It would be anime, otherwise xD
I don't know, I like both... :swt:
wel it's mostly manga, but I seldom watch anime too.
I think all of us are more into manga than anime in general
agreed :)
pretty much :/
Otherwise we wouldn't be here, we would be at an animeteam
true so true :)
kinda curious. if there are "scanlators" for manga. are there "dubbers" or "subbers" (gome, I don't know what to call the dubs and subs :swt: ) for anime? ???
Yes there are, they are generally the same as manga scanlation groups I think, but then they work with anime.
If you pay attention at the end of every episode you see things like: Translator =.... Timer=.... etc
Oh I will look for that next time
I wonder if theyre paid? (since making subs seems pretty hard)
I don't think so, I think they are the same as we are: dedicated people who love it enough to dedicate their time to the art~
definitely~*skip :goodjob:
i love those dedicated people :)

btw. who's gonna go back to the topic? (e.g first anime you ever saw? " )
I already told mine but I'll repeat it again so we can probably go back. mine was FMA (full metal alchemist)
FMA is amazing~
Yup :goodjob:
I never really managed to end it though :swt:
Really? it isn't that long...
School made me stop :crywithno: :donwan:
Damn... Evil school...

^Same with me ^^;;
Huh. I started out with manga :shy:
I just found out from my older brother that my first anime was ACTUALLY an anime called Super Pig or something like. The girl would transform into a fat pig and when she fly, it aint that high.
(http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRJjQXGfkj9TmVEhANIpGP8fDhO1bX30eDQ9HqnBaKMNUslXJjPtrSxFrEIVg) Ok, the human girl is the protagonist normal form human form. When she transforms, the pig is her. XD
That's so funny and cute!!
yo that pig actually looks really familiar LOLOL except i have no idea from where... i highly doubt i've watched it, though.
i was thinking the same thing sora
Holy moly, it's an old anime. With wonderful great qualities for some reason.
Title Super Pig | Ai to Y?ki no Piggu G?ru Tonde B?rin | Pig Girl of Love and Courage
Manga Author: Taeko Ikeda
Broadcast: September 9, 1994 - August 26, 1995
Description:Karin Kokubu (Kassie Carlen) is late for school one day when she comes across an apparently injured yellow pig. It turns out the pig wasn't injured but just hungry, and he gets back his health when he eats Karin's apple. When Karin gets to school, she discovers that the pig has stowed away in her backpack which causes her more trouble. Later, she meets the pig again and finds out he can talk and fly. The pig gives her a "Dream Tonpact" which she opens and a pig snout appears from it and attaches itself to her nose! She finds the pig again who explains that he is actually Prince Tonrari?no III (Iggy Pig) of the planet Buuringo. He tells her how she can transform: by saying "BA BI BU BE BOorin!" she transforms into a superpowered pink piglet called Justice Buurin (Super Pig). This is not something Karin is happy about at all as she'd rather transform into a heroine like her idol the henshin hero tokusatsu character "Cutey Chao" (who is possibly a reference to Cutey Honey). Tonrari?no (who she calls Ton-chan) tells her if she can collect 108 pearls by doing good deeds as Buurin, she can do so. The pearl collection operates on karma meaning if Buurin abuses her powers, she will lose pearls.
I thought that would help out, if you guys actually watched it before. I must have been 6 or something that I watched this, but still wow it looks funny. I think I would love to watch it again.
edit: omg, just by reading this. This anime reminds me of Wedding Peach >:O OMG, its like almost everything is alike the freaky animal thing giving her magic power to save the world. Wow...its like the almost exact same thing
that is sooooo cccuuutteeeee~~~ :o_o:
A bit freaky though...
Fullmetal Alchemist. The original, not Brotherhood. And still one of my all time favorites.
^ oh i totally forgot about that one but i remember it being really good
ohhh~ :o_o:
same here, i was pretty much bored in the house so I turned on the tv (which i RARELY do because...well, it's not interesting) and then i saw FMA which completely turned me into the ultra otaku that i am now *skip
and i'm still lovin it too :o_o:
FMA is the best
I think, Voltes V?...then I watch Transformer and Sailor Moon, I saw Dragon Ball Z and Time Quest in other channel.
Anime is not that popular when I was little, Voltes V is a robot...I think, Power Rangers is popular that time haha
Voltes V ???
I think you posted this answer in the wrong place xD.
haha' yeah...I'm sorry.
Yeah' I like FMA too...but I prefer Brotherhood. I have a DVD of original FMA and I've watch some episodes of it but I'm not yet finish.
It's quite all right, it can happen to anyone! *skip
