I'm here as a translator. I think. I'm confused. Because there's no test. I don't like test. But taking a test seems like a standard procedure everywhere. So yes, I'm posting here because Xye forced instructed me to. So now I'm suppose to wait until I can see the staff corner link. I think.

You probably haven't been put on any specific project yet, but >here< (http://ourtranscendence.com/forum/index.php?board=7.0)you can find the forum for the different projects and the RAWs. When a project and chapter is assigned to you by one of the three co-admins you will go to the sub-forum for the given manga, download the RAWS, translate it and then create (if there is not already one) a topic and post the script.

Oho, i understand that very well. I can understand a few words when I watch an anime even w/o subtitles. It's due to watching anime for over 8 yrs :)) but it's not like I watch anime all the time and I don't really learn it from a teacher so I'm still far from learning the language. I do envy you a tiny bit though :=X:

@ccstrc >> C++ and OpenGL. Thing is that they force us to learn other language like java j2me and html which sucks. And we learn useless stuff to build up basics. And ridiculous assignments ditched out are stuff that we know we'll never use in the industry -.- And the lecturers can't do what they teach LOL
@yakuzakitty I can speak/read/write mandarin too! It's my mother tongue, but I don't like it =D I can speak the canto dialect as well. And honestly I really don't think Japanese is as hard as some claims -.- So go and learn it! xD
Learning Java isn't that bad. I find it quite similar to C++, except you have to deal with memory management and references in C++ -_-... Isn't J2ME just java for mobiles? Is it that much different from regular Java? o.O? And HTML is just scripting~ Not even considered a real language! xD... But yeah, CS assignments are so useless half the time. What makes it worst is... When they have certain restrictions like you MUST program it using these types of functions when OBVIOUSLY there is a much easier way to do it T_T;
And don't worry, I use my netbook in class all the time to uh... take notes... yeah D;...

It's difficult teaching yourself though. I can speak it (sort of) but I'm finding it almost impossible to teach myself to write it...
As for mandarin, I may have to ask for your help when I start my course then! :D

I wish I could go back to java coding for games. It was pretty fun when I did that in highschool... Now everything I do is all algorithm based. In particular they always care about running time (curses!). As long as it gives the answer it should be good right? Nope, have to have these algorithms running in linear time and crap >_<.
Though I don't really remember recall needing to remember long functions for Java. Then again, I haven't actually had an 'actual' coding test in a while. Must the stuff just maybe has some coding assignments, but tests deal with the theory of the course haha.
