I was wondering if anyone else is embarrassed by things that aren't normally embarrassing.
I get really uncomfortable when anyone hears me sing, especially if they're a friend or acquaintance.
I get embarrassed/uncomfortable when people watch when I write stories. I don't know why. :=X:
I get embarrassed when I have some marking on my face and I use a bandaid just to cover it. xD
I feel embarrassed/uncomfortable when I have to talk in front of people I know.
I get embarrassed when a teacher brags about a talent that's not necessarily a talent to the public.
i had a teacher like that before and the more he talked about his "talent" the more i wanted to tell him to shut up because he was embarrassing himself

why? D: You should be proud of your skills in drawings whether it's good or not :D
OT: I get embarrassed when I wear something that's out of fashion.
@Jess, yeah. It's like so annoying. Like we heard you the first time, we don't need to hear it the second time. Dx
so true sally and by the third and fourth time you are like please I don't want to hear this again

im not really that confident when it comes to talent. it got destroyed during my HS years haha... :swt:
OT: im not comfortable when i see a cute puppy, want to pat/huggle it when suddenly people stare at me for staring at the cute puppy
I get really uncomfortable when I'm on my laptop and somebody is staring over my shoulder watching what I'm doing.
I feel the same way when that happens or when I am eating and someone is looking over my shoulder
The general 'looking over your shoulder' is just annoying.
true so true
I value my privacy~
me too even though i dont get much
Well, because I'm an actor I can't watch anything embarassing. Like if a character in an anime or just a regular TV show or movie does something embarassing and I know they will, I can't watch it. For some reason I feel their embarassment. I feel like I was going through that situation. It bugs my sister because I have to leave the room. But I can't help it, its kind of like :'( but I just can't help it. Does that make me weird?
I feel the same way actually. I usually get up during "comedy" and leave because I feel so awkward.
Sends entirely the wrong message though. :birddot:
I feel the same... I tend to cover my face because I'm too lazy to actually leave the room... :swt:
WHOO, its not just me *skip yeah, sometimes it gets so bad I leave the room saying "omg, no no no no." But if something happens that is particularly embarassing I will literally blush for the character.
I guess I don't feel actors embarrassment, but I'll feel their pain/happiness type stuff. Like when they finally achieved something or they're overcoming their fear or whatever I'll cry or get extremely emotional. Like I was watching Raise Your Voice with Hilary Duff and at the end when she's singing the song for her brother I started crying because it so touching and I felt what she was feeling.
Though that's what makes a movie good and they do that type of stuff on purpose. You also know it's a good actor when they can make you feel what their character is feeling.
I'm watching that movie now. I've never watched it before, but i'm going to watch it now. well, not right now, because where I live it about 2:30 AM and i'm getting tired. but i'll watch it later
im pretty sensitive to movies myself, like when something scary, sad, heart-breaking etc... happens, i'd cover my ears and go "lalalala i can't hear :goodmood:it lalalala *strong inhale...strong outhale...* i can't hear it~" and go running upstairs :swt:
@ Roze I watched Raise Your Voice and it was a really good movie. Three Days Grace was in it!!!!! :donwan:  LOVE THEM. The song at the end was really sad too though but it was good. A really good movie that's got a great story is called Stardust (its a supernatural comedy/romance movie and its pretty good )
@Hidden_Twilight I'm actually not a crier. Strange, because I watch emotional things alot, but I just don't cry. I still get down when I watch those parts though.
I only ever cry when I watch Titanic and Jack dies... Gets me every time. *grabs tissues*
me too angel
it's just too beautiful
yes it is
Any other movie scenes where you guys cried? Let me know!!!
I cry at the end of Remember Me, like i have watched that movie 30 times and i still cry
I feel embarrassed or uncomfortable talking or speaking in front of many people and when someone's watching what I'm doing...I don't like to be watched or making someone notice me...(feel like wind) XD
+ I don't want to sing in front of people...really. My sister glared at me whenever I sing at our house because I said different words I provide in the song but not its real lyrics' hehe :=X:
I'm not used to singing and I don't know why but I can't memorize the lyrics of the song how many times I've heard it...my ears just focused on the beat of the instrument and never to the lyrics or messages of the song...
I don't know why., ???
I understand that feeling Liz I do not like to in front on people exspecially people i know or my peers, but I can talk all day long to children, since you really cannot embarrass your self around them and they are not negative toward you.
You can be a teacher...
I'm not used to talked to children also, at least I'm not the one to approach them...I have to feel the atmosphere first. But I try to look more approachable.
I find it hard to present stuff, but I'm getting better at it...
I'm usually forced to present stuff because my classmates are too lazy.... or they get scared.
Oh, I just thought of a really good movie: A walk to remember. its really sad, but the movie it is excellent!
@Liz i am going to school to be a elementary and special education teacher, so i guess i should be glad i can talk to children
@Arr that is a good movie and you do need tissues for the ending
That's amazing Jess! I can't handle children that well...
I should see that movie...
I have always had a gift with children and adults is a different story
I'm better at handling adults I guess.
i just cannot deal with adults mood and reason changes
I think they are more tricky to figure out, but I like a challenge :P
well that is good
Everyone has a type of person that they can handle better than another.
well it seems like it
I seem to deal better with smaller children than I do with regular people.. maybe its perhaps because i'm seen as annoying to people around my age? i don't know, they just seem to like me. :shy: and that's okay because they are soooo cute! :donwan:
It's totally the other way around for me... Me and kids don't really go together...
Well, they don't like it when you talk down to them. They get quite angry. I seem to do well with them and some people say I act like a mom.. I don't know if i should take that as a compliment or not :swt:
Well at least that means you'll have enough practice for when you're a real mom?
Yeah.. maybe. :=X: its hard to say.
Arr I get that alot too, which I did raise my sister, so I have a Momma Hen side to me lol
You both will be such good parents... I fear for any future kids I might have...
you will be a good parent angel, just wait for the time and everything will come to you, believe me i was 7 years old and i didnt have a clue at once, but it came to me
Well, if I'm going to have any kids, I'm adopting :=X: and yeah, no one is expecting you to be the perfect parent. Hardly any parents are. You'll make your mistakes, and your kids with make theirs, but everything will work out somehow.
true so true i have made a few mistakes with her sister, but i was child trying to figure out how to take care of a baby with no help. well i just figure out why my aunt like for me to give teen mother speech, freak people probably think i had a kid at 6 years old, oh well a lot of people think worst of me.
Um.. that's not so good Jess. you shouldn't let people think bad about you
well this is a small town people are going to talk and there is nothing i can do about it
Well, I live in a small town too, so I know how stuff can get around, but if people are saying something negative about it, you should say something. Be all like :redcard:
i have tried that and i have changed a lot of things i do to get people to think i am a good kid, but it didn't work, so i kind of stopped going out
You own your own life. What others say are nothing more than gossips and rumors with no evidence or whatsoever. You've done nothing wrong, and you don't need a lawyer to prove it. It's your life. Live it. Just because they think wrong of you doesn't mean you should too. I learned this from my ethics teacher once:
"When everyone turns a blind eye to any wrongdoing, don't be the same as them. stay firm and stay strong, and maybe one day, definitely some day, they'll open their hearts to you.
(not sure if i translated it well since it was stated in filipino so sorry for any wrong grammar :swt: )
That's beautiful!
(And the translation was pretty good actually :good job:)
it was indeed a great translation :cheer:
that is a good quote but that will never happen in this town
Then I suggest moving?
i wish i could
Trying to make your crush laugh and you end up looking dumb.
i guess you could say that but i think its cute in its own way :3
that always seems to happen alot doesn't it. you try to say something funny and the look on their face is just like >:( and your like :indotz: please kill me now.
Well you should look at it realistically then. If they do not share you kind of humor they might not be suited for you. I think sharing a sense of humor is the most important, so just keep going until you find somebody you can share laughs with!
Not necessarily ! I love my friends even though we don't laugh at the same jokes Plus I know my jokes aren't that funny, but at least they listen ><
(And always end up telling me that I shouldn't worry since they love me though my jokes are lame)
What embarrasses me is when I feel someone is forcing themselves to speak to me, or to listen. I'd rather have them telling me to shut up !!

mines the opposite. i feel embarrased when i try to speak to someone. probably because of my high school memories. i remembered one time when there was a transfer student in our school and when she greeted me i kept on thinking what to do like "how should i greet her?" and such and when i decided that i should just say "hi" i just had to show a poker face with that expression that will make you think that you hate her. :indotz:
yeah, and i think its probably because of that that i fear of speaking up. :swt:

Then you know its time for a coffee break.
No really, most time I have to force my self to listen I'm actually too sleepy and thus just busy trying to stay awake.
and ofcourse because more coffee is more better
When I'm singing out loud and I have headphone on. Oh god!!!
When people compliment me. I always end up stuttering and being awkward and looking like a jerk because i get shy and turn away.
Also when I'm eating. I don't like being watched while eating! :fliptable:
Who likes being watched while you eat?!?!?!
At least not me!!! I would starve!
I actually watched a korean drama where the main character said "i like it when you watch me eat"
i'm like "hell naw." :whaat:
Hahaha
No thank you!
Singing with headphones on...
*flashbackmoment*
I was walking back to my apartment from the train station and decided to listen to some music. I got so into it that I started to sing along. OUTSIDE. WALKING DOWN THE STREETS. Thankfully there weren't that many people there as it was quite late at the time... :swt:
...And present time!
I have learned about myself that I just don't care about singing with headphones whilst walking down the street with strangers walking past me. Confidence +1
When I walked in a room full of people, and they stare at me... I'm like... wish I could just turn into a dust right now<<< that's my inner thought, but I end up walking chin up and cool... LMAO

Fake it until you make it! :goodjob:
Hahahaha
Always careful when walking (please don't let me slip) and when I go back to my room, I'd ask "Is there some dust on my face? Why are they staring at me?" then looked in the mirror, after finding out there's no dirt on my face *victory pose* Success! :wahaha:
opening snacks in a quiet room. ;___;
:whaat: doing something clumsy, and being spotted.
:swt: I keep reliving the moment of my classy moments.
If using a public bathroom and someone comes in and uses it while I'm going, if I don't think I can get out of the bathroom before they do I'll wait for them to leave. :swt:
Looking at the mirror when someone is around...
I get weirdly embarrassed when I'm eating boiled eggs in front of people. I was videochatting with a friend and it felt so weird lol~ Might be cuz i could see myself too so it was awkward haha
and then he kept making fun of me so that didn't help. :omg:
The awkward moment when you are enjoying your nice lunch and four other people are staring in your face...
:swt: I just relived that moment :touched:
Though I loved the part where I went "IN YOUR FACE CRANE" :wahaha: :woohehe: :shy:
seeing people i know in the bathrooms and making awkward small talk for the 2 seconds we make eye contact before i go into a stall to pee.
Sitting in a quiet library and hearing yourself est something... I am not even able to do that, too scared people will be bothered :swt:
Erm, quietly, trying to sneakily open a bag of nachos in the cinema and the 'creak' sounds come... :whaat:
Hahaha, especially when the music of the movie suddenly stops :omg:
