Title: The Daily D'oh!
Post by: xianchan on September 27, 2013, 10:57
We have a Daily D'awww, I though a Daily D'oh might be in order. I'll go first. Today's Daily D'oh! moment consisted of stumbling into the bathroom half asleep and squirting Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste.  :blur: FYI, for those who were curious, does not taste as good as it smells. In my defense, when three-quarters asleep, the squeeze bottles look the same. Suffice it to say, I have moved the lotion to another location on the bathroom sink.

I left my physics textbook at the bus station today. I was almost home on the bus and realized my book was missing then went all the way back to the bus station to get it >.< Thank goodness it was still there.

Hahahaha I love this thread already.  I didn't do anything dumb today (ha! for once....), but considering I am the clumsiest person I know and one of the ditziest, it's only a matter of time...I will own this thread.  lolololol

Here's a good one. So I went out on my front porch for my morning cigarette, and somehow locked the front door behind me. So there I am, barefoot, in my yoga capris and tank top. Thank goodness, I leave my bedroom window open when I'm at home. So I went around the side of the house, and had to pull myself up and inside through there. Also thank goodness, this is on the side of the house, so I don't think anyone from the street could see, but I'm pretty sure I gave my neighbor a great view of my butt as I squirmed over the window pane.  :shy: I'm pretty sure I'm establishing a strong reputation of strange in the neighborhood...

No, her neighbor did.

Ok here's mine: yesterday my alarm didn't go off and my daughter woke me up by running into my room crying, "my school bus is leaving!" Sure enough, it was.  She woke up when she heard it arrive.  I called a friend to pick us up and take her to school, but her car wouldn't start, so I had to call a cab to come get us.  It was so embarassing.

Well it happens...

I had that happen to me at some point... I woke up when my chem class was starting, but I said to myself, you gotta go there, because it is a really important class. So I rushed out, no breakfast, through the pouring rain. I arrived half-way through the class looking like a half-drowned kitten. That teacher is really strict, but he actually felt sorry for me... It was embarassing though...

Aaaaah I did that a lot in college, when I was working full time third shift.  NOT an easy thing to do when going to school full time as well...

They're mostly night students at my university though.

It involves time management skills AND the ability to get by on small chunks of sleep instead of one long stretch of it....

Yesterday's D'oh:

I locked myself out of the house when I took my kid to the bus stop and had to climb in the bedroom window, showing the neighborhood my butt and announcing to all those shady mofos (my neighborhood isn't great) that I keep at least one window unlocked.
:noway:

At least my one good neighbor was there to help me get in, but it was difficult because our shikibuton is right beneath the window and I hadn't put it up yet and had to try to avoid stepping my dirty shoe on it.  It made for a VERY awkward entrance... orz

well angel i have heard A&P is hard so im not sure if knowing 2 out of the 3 chapters will help, but i hope it did for Roze and her grades
Title: Re: The Daily D'oh!
Post by: Angel~ on October 24, 2013, 02:33
It usually is the case that when you do not know one chapter it is bad, but knowing 2 out of 3 is better than none at all.

Luckily I found out right away in the morning as I got up early to study some more so I was able to study for 2 hours before my test on that chapter (as well as the other)

I got an 87/100 so it's passing.  :=X:

10PM: "I still have stuff to do, argh!"

11PM: "Glad that was over."

12AM: "Er... I'll just check a few things and then I'll sleep."

This is part daily d'oh and part daily d'aww, because it wasn't me; it was my husband's cat (the one who sits on books).

She likes to sit on the printer on my desk when I'm sitting here, and last night she fell asleep on it, and immediately fell off.  It was cute and hilarious and when I told my husband about it, she got embarrassed and ran into the bedroom to hide.

Alrighty, here's a Daily D'oh that's my doing this time...

I got my hair cut today, and you know how it is when you get a new hair cut: you feel awesome.  Afterward I went out grocery shopping, wearing a leather jacket, cute jeans, boots, and of course my awesome hair.  I looked hot.  I knew it, and all the men staring at me knew it.

Now I have this purse that I love.  It's black vinyl with skulls embossed on it and spikes.  And here I am looking great and carrying my sexy purse, owning the place like a friggin' runway.  I was seriously strutting around.  I strutted through the store.  I strutted to my car and put my groceries in.  I strutted over to the cart corral and put my cart away.  I strutted back to my car and away from the purse I'd left in the cart.  And drove off.

I got to the drug store across the parking lot and realized what I'd done.  Mortified, I raced back and looked in the cart corral - no purse.  So I stopped strutting like a damn peacock and began scrambling.  Then a nice old gent saw me and asked if I was looking for a pocket book then told me he'd taken it in the store.  I went in and the first thing they asked was if I was the owner.  I said yes, so they had a guy go back and get it.

He came up carrying it, all swagger and style.  I laughed and told him it was his color.

Omegosh! At least you got it back and it wasn't stolen! Did it have your wallet and everything in it too?
Title: Re: The Daily D'oh!
Post by: verdandi on October 26, 2013, 23:51
Yes.  Everything but my car key, which I'd had in my hand since I had just unlocked the doors to load the groceries.  I'd also had a leather tote bag on my shoulder (I use reusable bags), so I unconsciously thought the whole bag thing was covered.

But my CLUTCH wasn't.   *dead

Today I drank a cup of coffee (believe it or not, this isn't a daily occurrence for me; I'm very sensitive to caffeine).  Shortly afterward, my allergies began acting up.  Not from the coffee, but I think it's because I started getting my allergy shots again and my body has to get used to it.

Anyway... since my allergies were going haywire, I took a benadryl.  Benadryl is the only anti-histamine I can take, but it knocks me flat.  I took it anyway and decided to take a nap.  But the caffeine kept me awake, and the combination of the two made me super shaky and antsy, like I was on speed or something.  And then because I couldn't sleep off the benadryl, I'm now all loopy like I've had a high-end painkiller.

So moral of the story: caffeine and benadryl don't mix.  I DUN RECOMMEND IT.   :whirlpool:

Ha ha! I did that yesterday.  I was walking down the sidewalk with a friend, decked out and looking hot in platform boots, and then suddenly tripped on a crack.  I didn't fall down though, and I just straightened up and said, "well that was classy" and continued on like nothing happened.

Crises: almost averted.

I think dandii would.

Note: this is advice from a nbsb (a.k.a  no boyfriend since birth) .take with risks

Theres no problem with dating ur best friends ex. They broke after all. And if u and ur boyfriends feeling are mutual, go for it. Still conflicted? Tell ur best friend (ur current boyfriends ex) about it and see how she feels. Maybe once u see her response you'll know what to do.

She's not really my best friend, and if I tell her we'll fight for forever. She's like that...
For now I'll just see what happens and go from there without telling her or my other friends.

I agree with Pau.
Just ask your best friend if they're okay with you being with their ex. Usually they should understand, but if not; just wait until the opportunity is perfect. Let your bff wait until they're over with it and fine with it.

Just to clear up the misunderstanding: she's not my best friend. Just a good friend I hang out with sometimes.
I'll have to tell her at some point obviously, but for now I'll just see what happens in the relationship and then consider telling her... She won't be fine with it. Trust me.

if she is a true friend the whole situation should not matter, and if it does matter to her then she is not a good friend that is not looking whats in your best interest or whatever makes you happy.

Well that is what i think a true friend should be ever though i have not found this person in real life
