I'm not usually bored. I have ADD so I keep multiple things going at once. If I get bored it's probably because I'm sick or really stressed so I just watch Netflix.
Last week, to get over stress, I watched the first two seasons of Pretty Little Liars. Yep, that's 44ish episodes (at 45-minutes long each) in one week. But I did other stuff while watching it.

nope im not kidding i live in a bible belt state, so a lot of things we learn is very church like, as my sister says. the state says something like if it is not in the bible don't teach it and dont explain things that r not even if the children have a question about it.
So, by my state higher up people: being gay is wrong, having sex before marrage makes u a whore and u will die, getting a divorce is a bad thing and it means u r an outcast, and so on like this.
But if having sex before marriage makes you a whore, why do you have so many teen pregnancies? ???

This here says that there is 29.4 births for every 1,000 adolescent females ages 15-19. Which would be about 2.9%.
Then 17% of births 15-19 were to females who already had a baby.

It is still fairly high (a lot higher then other countries.) but not 90% of teenagers have babies...
I know we were given basic Sex. Ed. but my mom did a lot more of it. She fully explained and all that jazz to me. We had more learning about what happens during puberty.
Should it really be up to the school to provide Sex. Ed. though? Or should it be the parents thing? I know the reason they don't have it around anymore is because parents were getting upset about it. My mom had her first kid at 15 because some boy pressured her into having sex with him and she had never even HEARD of condoms let alone other preventative measures. Where as my step-dad is 10 years older then her and his dad explained to him about different measures as well as he learned about it in school. So can you see the difference there? I think a lot of schools now are relying on parents to teach their kids Sex Ed.
I think it is a bad thing that schools move the responsibility to the parents. I would feel super awkward if I had to explain it to my 'future' kids. We do discuss it at home of course, but I'm glad I learned it in school instead of having to have the awkward 'talk' with the parents.
(I didn't actually learn it all from the teachers. Sex was and is a very common topic of discussion. I think somewhere around 14 or something people were already discussing it, so I picked up on it)
It is also a responsibility of the government, because in The Netherlands all the people pay taxes for the health care system. If teenagers started having babies all over the place it would cost enormous amounts of tax money! I know this doesn't apply in the US, but it is something to consider.
Mass education of the teens is a good thing. That way you can be certain that they know how they can do it safe and what the consequences are if they don't. I mean, you don't really have to get pregnant (if you're lucky) but all those STD's that are out there are also wise to consider before getting into it unprotected.
I'm lucky with an older sister who can explain it into detail for me whenever I have questions. She asked my mom I think, so family is an important factor, no doubt, but I feel that the school should at least provide basic sex education about the risks and the contraceptives. 14 year olds are mature enough to understand it.
Roze, i had to do a paper on the county i live in for school, so i got my information from the county court house and it is really common here. my sister and i are outcast in our age groups.
my mom gave me all "the talks" when i was 8 years old, which i think is too young and my sister is 15 getting ready to turn 16 and my mom has not gave her any of "the talks". she just tells us the boys r bad news and they are all kidnappers, rapist, and murders. then she gets mad because we do not go out or have any friends, boyfriends, and so on.

i did give my sister the "talk" on sunday b/c my mom went crazy on my sister saying she shouldnt hug boys and if she did that they would rape and murder her. so my sister thought that she should not touch anybody b/c she would get murder, so i had to get that straight and to do that i had to give her the "talk", where she could understand everything.
i was trying to wait and give my sister the "talk" when she stopped thinking boys had cooties but my mom messed that up for me

You're mom married your dad, I'm assuming. Did he rape and murder her? How does she expect you guys to find your husbands if you think all guys are going to murder and rape you?
Not all guys are out for sex -- or to kill you. Actually most guys are NOT going to kill you. I'm friends with many guys and they're all decent, respectful gentleman. As long as you wait for the right guy and don't jump in to a relationship and only have monogamous relationships you're not going to catch STI's.
I've been with my boyfriend almost 5 years and we've lived together for a year and a half and I still live to tell the tale. I was 15 and he was 21 when we met. We didn't do anything ~sexual~ until I was 18. My mom freaked out at first because "all 21 one year olds are after sex." but he wasn't. Once she met him and of course had a "motherly" talk with him she started to realize not all guys are after sex.
He was also raised in a fairly religious household. So if you're area is as religious as you claim, why aren't the sons of these people being taught to respect a lady, sex after marriage, etc? Obviously if girls are getting raped and murdered all the time and is such a common thing then there's something wrong with the way these religious parents are teaching their sons.
I agree with Roze, I too have quite some guy friends and we hang out and simply have fun. I don't see where your mother gets those ideas about boys. Like she hasn't been young.

my brother does that. in fact, he cant answer hes test/homework etc.. without eating. thats why my mom would pack him chips, crackers, and other foods when he has a test. :swt:

I do better on my homework if I can have some type of background noise[music, tv show, etc]. But I can't read a textbook if people are talking around me.
I'm usually not too bored lately as I find ways to entertain myself. I've been working on manga almost every second I have this last week. :=X:
I have found that PRing stuff is a great way to procrastinate from all the RL affairs.
i have been sleeping when i get bored lately because i go for days without sleep at all then i will get a 30 minute nap in and i am good to go lol

yep. i do that too. it just ant be help if your really busy on certain days. like last time when i had 1week of vacation and then the next week i was ambushed with tons of work. stress much. *stress
Yes, I'm ALWAYS bored. I'm easily entertained but I'm also easily to get bored afterwards. xD
