Poll
Question: If you are going to compare both, what do you prefer?
Option 1: Manga/Anime
Option 2: Reality

Manga and Anime have a much more ideal world, so it would be nice to live there! Even if it was one without anything supernatural.

TBH this is on the wrong thread. :P

OT: Well, I like both. on certain terms.
Like for anime/manga : the boys are so much better than reality.
Like for Reality : Food is edible. :D

manga/anime can depict the real world.
manga/anime can do anything what the world can't/have (i.e fantasy, wizards etc.)
manga/anime can make food look tastier than RL

now if only anime/manga can make food edible too...:3

I mean, it's media right? It won't always match up to RL! Like... high school is NOT what media portrays it to be XD

well it wouldn't be that interesting if it was nearly close to RL now wouldn't it?

It also depends how your society lives in, like if your society is like an anime/manga world, then wow you're technically ready for it. But if its just a normal life like normal reality, then its different.
RL has a lot of things that's more interesting than anime/manga (I'm not referring to the boys/girls or food), but the scenery and places you can go to.  :woohehe:

That is true, it is more fun if manga shows us things we don't experience in RL.

oooh, you haven't seen the whole world yet. c: Real life is actually quite amazing, beautiful views and everything. Anime is fake beauty.

OT: I can't imagine anyone looking anime, except probably those anime freaks with "makeup" dollface.

@jess: Are you asking what cosplaying is? or Are you asking what are we cosplaying as? If your question was the first one then,
QuoteCosplay (????, kosupure?), short for "costume play", is a type of performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play
If your question was the second one, then people will answer. xD

Well we should probably dressed up and post pictures, because the cosplay section is dead.

Find some, and make them. I already planned out what I want to be. I have a whole year until our next anime convention. c:
I'm going to dress as Neptune from Hyperdimensional Neptunia or Kagamine Len or anything my friend wants me to match with her. >_>

Definitely manga/anime. For starters, the men are...well...yummier. LOL Second, I could dress the way I want to (yay cosplay!) all the time without people looking at me crazy. Because *I* am the Samurai Princess!! Also, purple seems to be a much easier hair color to maintain in the anime/manga world. o_0
