Ok...so I have a friend but she's the kind of person I hate the most (Does that even make sense? LOL).

So we have marks update at my school. She is basically those kids who always say:
"Omg I am so going to fail [insert course here]! I don't even get all that stuff." and the night before a test "OMG!!! I am soooooooo screwed I don't get it!"

When she gets her mark for the test and find out that she scored a 91% on it. Guess what she says? "Omg this is so bad... I am going to fail this course!" -_-

Seriously...SERIOUSLY!!!! DOES IT LOOK LIKE SHE'S GOING TO FAIL THAT COURSE? OH YEAH! Of course she will fail with a 91%, that's a given! Man I am currently so pissed. Not because she gets high mark but because she constantly say she is going to fail. Like think about the people who are having a waaaaay lower mark! That's not something they want to hear from a student who got 91% on a test. >.>

I swear I am not even going to help her on Chemistry. She always spam me with like billions of questions and says she doesn't get it but then get high marks... like wtf? I just hate those people who are like "Omg I just got a 84% I am doing so bad!" Ok, I can understand that everyone have different goal but a 80% and above means you are right on track and will get better. You can't possibly FAIL a course with a 80% unless you are just going to slack off and get low 65%s... -.-

Oh yeah, I also dislike people that are unsatisfied until they get like a 99% or 100%. Because God forbid, 98% is a bad mark.

I am Asian too so I know how it is like. And no she doesn't mean her parents will kill her. She yells at her mom 24h/7d so why be scared? Like I said, I know people have their own standard they want to meet but you don't have to be like "OMG I AM FAILING!!!" when you are not even close to that. People around you will find it very vexing and will dislike you without you knowing it. Asian failing doesn't necessarily mean failing the course. I would add that you are pretty far from failing it. At least if you find your mark bad, don't yell it out loud for the world to hear. -.-

xD. i go to this really nerdy school so everyone's.....a nerd i guess  :=X:.  all of my friends want to go to harvard, yale, MIT, princeton etc. it's kinda peer pressure really. when everyone around you gets better scores that you, you're really embarrassed about it and before you even say anything, someone else starts, "wow. i failed....xD". people have no choice but to, "haha...xD. i failed worse than you did." and laugh it off.

this goes on and on everyday. i'm kinda getting tired of it.

Do you live in the U.S.? Well, I live in Canada and I go to a school with a population of 80% Asian students. Because of so much Asian students, we are in the top 5 public high school in all Ontario (Last time I heard from my mom). There are competition everywhere you go. Well I know that most of my friends are just going to stay in Canada and finish their education here. University of Toronto is quite top ranked in Canada so yeah. I didn't even bother to take SAT since I know I won't be going to U.S. for study. XD

Anyway I am just saying that I hate it when people act that way. It's just rude for the other that really DID fail or really DID bad as in lower than 80 or basically 60-ish since failing at my school is 50% (the real number...untouched by Asian modification). My friend did really bad on her French test and another friend got fairly a high 80%. She was saying all the "omg this is so bad, I am failing French." for the whole class. My other friend who got low mark told me how the other friend is trying to insult her indirectly.

I personally don't even tell my mark to others. It's my mark and they don't need to know it. Who cares if I get a high or low mark (my parents and I are the only ones that care)? It's not like they will have get any benefits for knowing my mark (unless they want to feel victorious just for having beat me to it or feeling defeated when they didn't beat me).

Whatever, lol my friend and I were just talking about it after school when this certain girl ran over to complain about how she won't get into ANY university with her 90%s. You know what? Too bad for her, she should just give up in education since she can't even get into a university with such high average in pocket. =[

shiki....you're better than most people (who would lose their temper). at least you know who you are. there are some kids who have no clue what their personalities are (i have a friend like that)....xD

i have a bad temper too (though i don't show it on the outside, i secretly attack them with my death glares and daggers). xD.

Though I don't ask people for help, back in my High School, everything below 95% was pretty much an Asian bomb. I didn't actually worry about marks until my entering year. But during our year, it was pretty damn competitive. I think early acceptance, which is what everyone aims for was at least 85+ and 90+ is some more competitive fields.

Then the other part is aiming for scholarships. Mostly they begin at 90+ for the first level and 95+ for the next level of scholarship. So, being worried is pretty normal. In fact a lot of my friends were like that ^^;

I didn't end up telling my marks because they'd be like "OMG YOU BEAT ME? YOU NEED TO TEACH ME NOW" which is something I didn't want to deal with. It's also that Asian parent mentality. Lots of Asian parents I know like to throw around marks that their kids get like it is some kind of contest :P...

Though you shouldn't let things like that bother you. Everyone has their own goals they are aiming for. The only thing you really need to keep in mind is if you are happy or not with your own mark.

Yep, shiki.... i understand your feelings... because i get that sometimes. Like people would come up to me and say they did really bad, and end up with excellent scores......and that kinds of put me in a new low.. Maybe it's considered competitiveness...but it's totally unhealthy.

Some people would approach me to know my marks... and when i did badly than them, they would be very excited, "I Beat so-so". When i did better than them, they would be like... "Expected lah....confirm this grade one." I don't think it's because of asian families... I went to a average secondary school like that... hypocrites and backstabbers everywhere who would talk behind your back just because you did better than them or whatsoever. I got used to it.

Sometimes i hate telling my marks because of the expected reactions i'll get from my peers. But tertiary education is working better for me than i expected, like my peers are not doing what i'm used to from my secondary school peers... so i'm generally quite alright with it. I know people who would be glad to help others with their schoolwork/coach/teach their classmates just for the sake of helping and asking for nothing in return (:

But sometimes i admit.. I do the whole "I'm going to score badly..." thing, because i'm somebody with extremely low confidence in my work, so last time my friends did chatised me about it.. but i couldn't help it... because i wasn't expecting to score well... so yeah. And usually my grades are around 70-75% so yeah. <.<

Ah...what a horrible secondary school experience i have.

Actually complaining how bad they do (when it's a good mark) doesn't bother me. It bothers me when they look down on others. I remember some of my friends would be like "How is it possible NOT to get a good mark, it is SO EASY" when talking about people that did significantly worst.

I just meant the Asian competitiveness is like anything below 90 is a fail attitude. Everyone always says how they will fail the exam (if it was below 90). In university our entire group would be telling each other "omg so going to fail" and of course everyone does fine. It is very natural to think about this kind of stuff~

last week, everyone took a bio test and one class had an average of 24%. that's what i call REALLY failing. azn failing is below a 90.

and i have a friend who got an 80 on a test and started crying. it's an 80. next time you get 100 it'll balance out. chillllll.

but i think for my side, most of us are already very happy with a 75%, maybe it's more competitive with you Canadians.

NOW! -clears throat- My school places students in dif math courses, so I took the alg/trig course that some of my friends are taking this year... and they were complaining about how hard the course was, how cruel their teacher was... And somehow I thought that course was such a blissful year (I regret even having to TAKE geometry this year) They complain fucking day and night about how everyone in their class has a 60-80 grade on their last test (which was 13 pages long... I remember those! Now tell me, why did I like that course again?) which I don't understand... I for one, can attest that I never got a score below a 90 last year. T.T I'm so tempted to tell them so they'll shut up and stop wallowing in their self-pity when half of their friends arent even in their class.

And then I especially hate it how students have PDA (public displays of anxietey) on test days... I'm sure I'm already stress out enough. I sure as hell don't need you to come along and scream about how you're so worried and beg me to tell you that everything will be ok. Good lord  :bingo:

It's been quite a long time since I've been in school (Canadian woot!) but we always had classic overachievers in the class who would always say things like "OMG I can't believe I did so bad on that test, it was so easy, too! How did you get such a low mark?" when they got 95+%  -_-  I'm sorry but whatever race you are, once you're finished college/university/whatever NO ONE WILL GIVE A F@*&#! what your marks were!  They don't make you a better human being, so kindly STFU about how the rest of the class must be retarded... Yeah, I have zero tolerance for that superiority shit >_< Whether it's on purpose or not, if you can get high marks like that in a class, you should be smart enough to figure out you're being insulting.

I hate people who are unnecessarily rude.  Enough said.

What made me want to kill  :heeee: was a conversation I had the other night with my brother's girlfriend. Last year, they had a baby and for their first family christmas, they spent it with her parents. We all live about 10 mins away from each other but she still refused to compromise so we didn't see them at all until a couple days later. No big deal, I mean it hurt my mom's feelings to not even see the baby or talk to her son at all on christmas day for the first time in his life but yeah. Anyways, that means this year they are with us so YAY! And that's where the convo started.

We were talking (me, my brother and his girlfriend) about birthdays coming up and christmas. Now, we are a pretty close family and a part of that is come christmas time, even if it's just a small $5 gag gift because we're broke or a $100 gift because we're rich, we all get each other gifts. We have always done this; we love giving each other presents! I've receives everything from burned CDs to an acoustic guitar to Metallica concert tickets to a coupon for my brother to mow my lawn  :=X:  The point is we love to give gifts! It's awesome to see my family open something I picked out for them and whether they laugh or cry or whatever, it's the giving that makes me happy :love:

Well, she is not from that kind of family...if you get my drift. She is close to her mom but she and her sister are very hostile. :swt:  I can understand that she wants to do things differently. She started explaining how in her family, they don't get any of the adults gifts...none at all, only the kids. That means her baby and her sisters three kids.  She further explained that that way the kids can get really expensive gifts. Okay then. I told her, "You don't have to worry about us! It's what we do on our own, we don't expect you to buy gifts for us at all if you don't want to. It's fine." That should've cleared the air, right? No, it did NOT! She continued on and on AND ON about how we shouldn't be buying gifts for each other either and should only buy the kids gifts! Meaning her baby and ONE other kid!!! My brother piped up, THANK GOD, and said "Well, I'm still going to buy presents for my family. I make enough money, I'll start saving now. You don't have to if you don't want to." I love my brother :love:  I mean, if he sided with her and said he wouldn't buy us gifts, that would be fine, too. That's his decision! But for her to start telling ME what I should be doing with my own money for christmas?! I don't know what it is she wants?! I'd say she's cheap, but she just spend $250 on a bleeping cat house thingy so if it's so they can "save money"... I don't know, we'll see what happens. It just really pissed me off to have someone else telling me over and over that the way my family does something is the wrong way and we have to change it because her way is the right way :angry1:

Same, same, same. What's a groupwork meeting if one member's missing?!!! It's goddamn fine if YOU want to get a bad grade on this, but don't drag me down with you! And of course, you have to get graded down in the end because they didn't fucking tell you that they added six million slides to your section so that they'd only have two slides. It's called GROUPWORK. what part of "GROUP" is so hard to understand? T_T You agree on something before changing it!

Lately, I've realized just how annoying old people can be. Especially when they take the freaking hour to relieve themselves and you're stuck waiting outside for a chance at the bathroom.

Almost all my friends are copycats. They should see the dictionary and look for the word "originality". Its getting on my nerves because every time I see them, they greet me like how I greet them(when we first met, they just say hi--no waving of hands just plain hi and I always greet them like this: wave like a miss universe or sometimes make an illusionary ark in the air using my hands then say hi/hello.). They even copy the words I get from anime/manga like nya, kya, and other words even though they are not otakus. Almost everything that I do, they copy me that's why I change my "usual doings" almost every week.

I guess they think I'm cool that's why they copy me so much.  :=D:

Lying and pretending that you're the one wrong when it isn't even your fault and then when they do something outrageous, you try to get angry at them but then they get angry back at you instead and you don't know what to say back to them because logically they don't even have the right to be angry.

Accusing you of doing something that they did and then warping the events to seem like their version is true.

In the end I just hate people who lie, but not people who lie to protect themselves or people who tell white lies, it's people who tell lies that hurt other people that I hate the most.

You don't need to 'prove' it by having a tantrum or expecting people to treat you differently!  And the most brilliant people I have known have also been incredibly kind and humble as well. Even if someone is talented, being mean to others just isn't justified.  >:(

I think for now, I'll talk about my first point: liars.

I really don't like people who lie because it makes me feel like they don't trust me enough, despite the fact that I've done nothing to destroy their trust. On top of that, I also don't like how people lie because they think "I can't handle the truth" because hell, how would they know that?

Anyway, my first real experience with liars was my third girlfriend, who lied through her teeth about her feelings. It hurt when I found out but it wasn't like I couldn't take the truth. We broke up and moved on, that was it.

I think she first lied to me because she knew what she did was wrong and she just couldn't tell me the truth - at first. I understand where she was coming from though, since it takes a lot of courage to tell someone the truth, especially when you know what you did was pretty bad. I reckon she'll continue to be this kind of person in the future mainly because once you lie to someone and you realise it's easy to get away with it, wouldn't you keep lying? A friend of mine had an extremely insecure girlfriend at one point and she never took any of his compliments or noticed his loyalty to her. She'd make ugly comments about herself and was crazy about where he'd been/what he'd done/who he was with whenever they were apart. Ten months and by the end of it all, he broke it off with her because he was tired of her being "too frigging insecure".

Have you ever had someone stalk you to every hangout/party because they just like you that much? Have you ever had someone start to wear similar clothes that you wear? Have you ever had someone change their Facebook photo to one of your face for no apparent reason and gained a ton of internet female attention because of it (and it wasn't even a joke or anything - he legit scored a virtual girlfriend because of my face...)?
It's bloody creepy, that's what it's like.
Now I suppose this person did some of these things because we were mates and I'd helped them out through a tough part of their life. I also assume some of these actions (following me around and stuff) was brought on by insecurity (aka being left alone?) but honestly... Well Vaux for the first thing I have done what your friends girlfriend did, but it was after I got hurt and I had trouble trusting people, so I thought that everybody was a not telling me the truth and cheating on me. It took me a long time to get back trusting people.

For the second thing, that has happened to me too, but my situation was bad. The girl who was doing it started telling everyone that the FB page was mine and it was my hook up page or something. I am sure what happened after that b/c everyone in town and the people I called my friends started calling me a HOE. After that I kind of stayed to myself and didn't talk to people.

They don't actually mean it harshly, but they have no idea where to post their hatred and dark feelings. Like me for an example, if I write in a journal, I get yelled. If I tell my parents, they won't understand. If I told my friend, they'll just go coocoo on me. If I write on the internet/communities, most of the time I get the response "Stop trying to get attention". So I usually put my anger on my friends, as long as they don't mind. c:

I believe this statement ^ is true in some cases, but not all. Myself, I absolutely hate it when people are racist. It make me almost physically ill. No it doesn't count those learning to drive! But some of the things I've seen around where I live shouldn't be excused by "learning drivers" though I fairly sure they have been driving for awhile. Because, yknow I can understand some things. Forgetting your turn signal once in awhile. Heck. I missed a stop sign once when I first got my permit. (It was covered by a tree.) But like NO ONE in this town uses their turn signals. There's people who will use a right hand turn lane to turn left. Like wtf?! Then there's some people that will drive 15 MPH down the residential roads and at every four way (they are unmarked and horizontal has a yield sign and we'll be driving vertical behind these people) and they STOP at EVERY four way. Ridiculous.

My boyfriend got harassed by a police officer because his headlight was out on his car (he was on his way home to fix it, he even had the new light bulb in the car) and then he harassed him about where he lived. He at the time lived between two towns and it was more outside town A then Town B but his address was still Town B so he told the officer that and the officer didn't believe him. Even made him sit in the back of the cop car. =.=

I know of a crazy driver story as well:
I was in the car with my dad on the highway and this crazy person is going past us. That guy was sticking to other people's bumpers on the highway! Well then my dad and me pass him by since my dad owns a sportscar. That guy completely loses it and chases us. We go to another highway and he follows us. My dad decides to just let the guy pass to prevent accidents from happening. The dude swerves past us and comes into contact with the front side of the car in front of us. Due to that the car in front of us catapults across the highway to the side and is hit by a truck. The crazy guy speeds off. My dad chased him and we called the cops and gave them his registration plate. Luckily the other driver was okay even after that. I really hope that guy has lost his driver's licence for good.

It's a really common statement here in the U.S., Angel.  Well it's technically "you act like your shit don't stink" which is an insult to someone, saying they think they're better than everyone else.  Also used, but less frequently is "you think your shit smells like roses" or "you shit roses, huh?"

Some people try to be nicer and change "shit" to "poop" but that just makes it comical.  It's one of those things that works better with cuss words, improper grammar, and preferably a southern accent. ^_-

It's like "It's colder 'n a reindeer's balls" doesn't sound right if you change "balls" to "testicles" and "it's colder 'n a witch's tit in July" loses something if you say breast.

I actually try to not hate people before I know them. HOWEVER, there are some people that I just instantly dislike, usually for good reason. I dislike people who ignore something important happening around them. Like if you have a friend or whoever is getting abused or something, DO SOMETHING. I know its hard, but good lord. These people need help. Or if someone is rude to me for no reason. Like, um, hello! I don't know you, please don't judge me based on something you've heard from someone else. I also don't like people who doubt their awesomeness. You guys are all awesome, screw everyone else. My best friend is one of those people who severely doubts her own talent (she draws. Her stuff is really good, but she doesn't notice anything besides the imperfections in her work (but I guess we are all like that... we all just see the flaws in ourselves..)) so I tell her EVERYDAY that she is an amazing person. I'm her own personal cheerleader :cheer: I love the woman to death, but sometimes her negativity makes me want to choke her. mmkay, done with my rant now  :bye:

no.. not quite. They are not true to themselves i guess? they are both really nice guys, but they act like jerk-wads because its "popular". Why its popular to treat a girl like crap, I'll never know. and I can tell they are faking it because i've grown up with them. I know how they are when others aren't looking. But when other people are around, both the boys treat me like crap because i'm "unpopular". It irks me.

Being a jerk in public does seem to be the general consensus these days. The whole division between the 'populars' and the 'non-populars' is just ridiculous.

I know, it's just part of the whole high school process I guess... In my class the divisions aren't as bad as before because everybody grew up and is getting ready to move on to uni and college. Populars mix with the nerds, who mix with the we-don't-care-about-being-popular group, and so on and so forth. I love it!

If you say your just looking, in some stores they just sort of stay in your stratosphere, and it feelings like i'm being pressured into buying something.  :swt: Like "you walked into the store, if you don't buy something, we will harm you". Its quite creepy.

OHMYGOD. I hate that too. It's like just a glance and they got all annoyed/pressured.

Yeah, I hate having to think that I have to sneak out of the store because I walked into it just to look and then I feel pressured by the salespeople.  *stress

Customers should be treated right unless its some drunk / robber.

I feel guilty when I walk out of the shop without buying something....

I do too. I'm like " I'm sorry I didn't buy anything, but I have no monet  :touched:"

I used to just buy a small thing to erase the guilt... Now that I don't have that much money I stopped doing that xD.

^ I mostly only feel guilty if I like stop specifically to use the bathroom or something. If i'm just at a mall and shopping around it doesn't bother me as much.

But yeah, I have to agree sometimes pushy store people can make me feel bad. I get they're just trying to do their job & be helpful and that's great. I applaud their customer service. But sometimes I just like to wander around myself.

What I really hate is when I'm obviously having trouble finding something & no one does anything or offers help. All try to look busy. Ugh.  :omg:
